Hello everyone,

I would like to compile shairport (http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/11/shair...ial-airp/) to put on the popcorn. But I have no idea how.

Is someone can help me?

See also this thread, hopefully the author of the already existing Airplay server software for Popcorn can incorporate this.

He is looking into it, and his first reaction is promising (although he also says not to expect something soon).

About shairport, may I suggest you get in touch with the guys responsible with the MPD (Music Player Daemon)? After all, they've already developed an ALAC decoder for the PCH.

Would be wonderful if someone could manage to get this working on the Popcorn. I now have an old airport express right next to popcorn but I would prefer for all audio to be digital.

I've got ShairPort running nicely in a Debian chroot on my a100. About 30% CPU use on average.

Hi @all,

I'm interested in this shairport-thing too, because I want to use the A100 for audio-purposes too, not only video.
Therefore I have a few questions:
- is it possible to stream from an iOS-device to a shaiport-server on the nmt?
- if this is possible can I use the (cinch) audio-output to drive my amp?
- I'm ready to install a chroot as described in http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...tid=16317. This is the first necessary step to install the shairport-server, right?
- What has to be the next step? (apt-get install ???) i.e. a step-by-step-description how to install shairport on the a100.

Thanks in advance for any help/hints.
