Playing files located on PCH across network?
I ordered a A-210 and am super excited for it to arrive, but I have a quick question. I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere.
I know that it can stream files across the network in that it can play files located on my PC, but what about the reverse? I am planning on storing my files on the PCH and would like to know if it will be possible to play those files from my Win7 PC via a shared directory (or something similar). Thanks! |

Yes, if you install the NMT apps you can access the A210 HDD from your PC. It will work the same as a NAS.

You can even play the stuff on your A210 on Android or Ipad/pod/phone if you have WiFi in you house...over the DLNA or SMB service of the A210
PCH-A100/A210/C200/A400 500GB EXT3 HDD<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 13 NTFS USB drives on 3 hubs attached to the A300, 3 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box |

Now these days every phone has unlimited G3 or faster internet, and i would like to stream from C-200 over the internet to my phone. So i can listen on my car stereo, at a party, at work, you name it. I have no problems in my home network, but found nothing yet about streaming servers for C-200 that can stream on internet. Then we could use i.e. android apps like audio galaxy or double twist to stream directly from the nmt. That way there would be no need to keep the PC powered on. Anyone an idea's? |
