A-210: 29.970 fps mkv files have not smooth playback

I bought the A-210 a few weeks ago and almost everything is working very well. All movies in 720p or 1080p are playing very smooth, in 60Hz but also in 24Hz.

But I also watch a lot of NBA games that I downloaded from http://bt.davka.info/ and they are not playing so smooth on my Popcorn. I noticed that these mkv files have some not very often used framerates. Here is the media info of a mkv file:

I noticed the fps is 29.970 instead of 29.976. Perhaps that is the issue, but I don't know that for sure, and if that is the case, I don't know how to solve this.

I have tried al kind of audio/video settings on my popcorn, but nothing seems to help.

Can someone come up with a solution?

Perhaps I do I need to downgrade the firmware or wait for a new release???

29.970 is correct. It is always the Hz divided by 1.001, or (Hz * 1000) / 1001, ergo 29.970 FPS. The problem is probably that it is a 60 Hz source (like most sports are) and they just chose every other frame to deinterlace instead of blending fields. This will look strobed because there is no motion blur to compensate for the lower FPS.

I remember having this issue with a metallica concert that was in 29.970 what I did to fix this was remuxing the mkv to m2ts and it played smoothly, so I hope they add 29,970 and 59,94 output like they have with a-100 and a-110

I've tried to get a mkv with 29,970 play smoothly but I think the problem is in a-210, if I just mux the video and no audio it plays smoothly but as soon as I add video and audio it stutters, I hope this will get fixed in the next firmware

I'm also facing the same problem with 29.970 fps mkv cannot play smooth on A-210 , for me i think it's a serious problem .. Syabas should address this issue because even my old Acryan Playon mini doesn't have such playback problem..

I agree, I'm considering buying another media center that can play files smoothly with mkv, because but the strange thing is that mp4 plays smoothly with 29.97, so is it really that difficult to fix this issue with a mkv's with a firmware update?
