[Bug] C200 hang up during torrent download - known bug?

I read carefully the forum looking for this type of problem and find out some users complains about torrent download hang up popcorn.

My issue is very similar my c200 unit hangs up after some time of downloading torrent (2 file only). I didn’t set any speed or connection limit.

My question - is it a known bug or I should return my c200 to service? Its my second issue with torrent.

Maybe instead of build in torrent client I should use something else like Transmission client ?

You should use the Transmission Client instead of the built in one. The built in one is an older version and is quite buggy. Plus it has a file size limit of 1-3gb. 4gb and more and it will choke.

This thread has my instructions for installing it and even install instructions on how to install a remote GUI that works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Which will give you an interface that is a lot like utorrent in design. But also give you more features than what the normal web interface will give you.

Thank you - I will try then Transmission Client.

But I am still interesting in how the official Apps can hang up New C200 unit? And nobody complains about it or try to fix it? Every time when C200 hang up during download it a risk that something happened with HDD (like it was in my case week ago)

Like I said it's an older version of Transmission. It's not the latest and greatest version. A lot of features are cut out from it.

People have complained, there are several topics around the forum where people have complained about it.

And it's rather limited to Syabas Firmware updating time frame.

The nicest thing about the alternative version is that it's not limited to Syabas time frame for Firmware updates. It's releases are possibly a few weeks to a month or two after the release of the latest source code (beta version anyway) for Transmission. And it offers 10x the features of the built in one.

That and I think Syabas realizes that there really isn't a point for them to keep developing it when the users are offering a massively better alternative.

Ohh yeah thanks guys for this very nice solution. I was pulling my hair out and almost got here.

My crashing problems (A210) are totally gone now and finally downloading at a nice rate ;-)

Unfortunately - its happened again, but this time with transsmision client. I download 3 file at the same time, one have more than 7GB. And C200 hang up.
Is it happened to other or its really issue with my c200 unit?

Sounds like an old bug in the kernel,

I am having the problem too and was hoping it would be fixed in the new firmware. (above fix worked in the previous kernel btw)
