[MKV] Why does this file not play?
Since my new PC has a BD-Rom Drive i just tried to rip my BluRay Movies to 720p h.264 mkvs. I use ffmpeg (latest git) on Linux to crop/scale and reencode the Movies but so far not with much success.
The movie plays back on my PC without problems but if i open the file on the NMT (latest firmware 5th April[/code]) the Screen gets black for a few seconds before it jumps back to the menu. Then i have to reboot the NMT. I use following command line: Code: ffmpeg -i 00000.m2ts -threads 0 -v 3 -loglevel info -vf crop=1920:784:0:148,scale=1280:528 -sws_flags bilinear -async 1 -map 0.0:0 -map 0.3:0 -level 41 -vcodec libx264 -preset slow -profile main -tune film -crf 17 -acodec copy -alang ger -sn -bufsize 10000000 -f matroska /data/down/movies/temp.mkvMediainfo: Code: GeneralCould anybody give me a hint on what could be wrong or a working method to reencode m2ts to mkv on Linux? Just found the solution. It seems the NMT can't playback lavf muxed mkv files. I remuxed with mkvtoolnix and now it works.

RE: [MKV] Why does this file not play?
I have been having problems playing COMPULSION's uploads to the newsgroups. They use the LAVF encoding library.
Re-muxing solved the problem and saved me some downloading. Thanks for the tip. Happy Day Archon Mac Pro, Mac OSX 10.6.8, PCH-A210, PCH-A300, Samsung LN-S4096D, Harman Kardon AVR 340, AppleTV2, TiVo XL |
