[NZBget]How to set the download path to USB harddisk?
I'm using NZBget for the first time (installed NZBget 0.8.0)
In the webinterface of NZBget it's possible to set the download location. On my PCH is the download location set to /share/Download (this is my USB drive for NMT apps)

How can i set the downloadpath to my USB Drive? How do i find the usb drive name on my PCH?

RE: [NZBget]How to set the download path to USB harddisk?
You need to edit the nzb.conf file with a unix text editor like Notepadd++

Are you familiar with NZBGET default version and how to use it. It's best to get familiar with it first before trying to find the exact nzb.conf file to edit and which line to change.

As you use the CSI and userapps you can't simply set the USB to be your Media Drive. That would automatically create a folder called Download on your USB and download to it. That's one reason to get familiar with the default version.

To find out the name login with a FTP client like filezilla and you will see how the USB is labelled. Then create a folder called Download in its root. Change the right conf file and line within it and it will donwload after a reboot to the USB.

You cannot do this from within the webGUI. It doesnt work.

RE: [NZBget]How to set the download path to USB harddisk?
Thank you Chris!
I would try the default version. The usb harddisk is formatted in NTFS format. I think of it to build an harddrive in the PCH, so its dedicated for my movies and NZBget.

RE: [NZBget]How to set the download path to USB harddisk?
Sorry to hijack the thread, is it possible to edit / personalise the categories?

I would also like to be able to have one of the categories on another internal drive within the C200? Is this possible?

Thanks

Nick

PS. I've gone through the config file with NotePadd++ and can't find the area to change this. I'm not sure if I'm missing it or whether its stored in a different file?

Try oversights unpak script, it sorts tv and movies into folders you choose so you can have tv on one drive and movies on another. Oversight is a jukebox for the nmt, if you dont want the jukebox part of oversight you can disable it in csi (untick start at boot) and you can still use the script. It is the best unpak script around and makes my life so much easier.

Cool, I'll give it a go.....

I've just been trying to install the oversight package from the CSI & it keeps failing and saying I don't have an internet connection. Is there some maintenance going on, on the csi?

So do you have the options within NZBget or is it on a web ui?
Now its working - weird - tried a handful of times and even restarted and it wasn't working!!

Hi Chris.. Can plz show the name of the config file that we can change the downloadpath in to different USB NTFS hardisk´s. i would rather try to make it work in the the latest CSI installed NZBget. maybe show your path name also and maybe use screen shots to show us the destination of the configfile. I Need it becaurse i installed the apps on a memory stick like u and made my 2 HDD´s NTFS.

its not possible in the web interface of the new "NZBGet 0.8.0-testing-r406:407" eigther..? Undecided

Thanks..

RE: [NZBget]How to set the download path to USB harddisk?
Answered via PM. Can't remember exact config change but its simplier now then before. Simply set your NMT Media Drive to be your USB HDD and not the location of where the NMT Apps are installed. The Media Drive then becomes the /share and a Download folder is created and your downloads go into it.

In addition i want to say that oversight does not take resources when it isn't used.
It only uses resources when processing or when generating a page.
So unticking start-on-boot isn't strictly necessary.

RE: [NZBget]How to set the download path to USB harddisk?
(On C200):
Change "media setup" from USB stick to a 2partions NTFS harddisk and NZBget will stop working!?

I installed the newest firmware over internet and did a "reset to factory settings" on my C200 and i bought a new USB stick of compitable Brand.
-I connectet the USB to the intern USB slot in the C200, and my NTFS harddisk with two partitions with old movies to a extern USB slot. I did a "Fresh Setup" on the USB stick in "NMT Setup Wizard.
i noticed the apps folder diddent became visible on the stick but asumed thats becaurse of the new firm and apps version? the download folders became visible.
-I then tryed connecting to Usenet NZBget app from IE on a pc but no connect. I knew the old NZBget could bug and not start and show if not correct setting in nzbget config so i installed the Newest NZBget from CSI installer (on the stick i asume?).
-I then tryed connecting to the new NZBget version from IE on a pc and it worked fine.
-I then tryed to change the "Media Setup" in the "NMT Setup Wizard" to 1 of the 2 partitions on the NTFS harddisk so The NZBget would pass the downloaded data to that drive, but then NZB get only shows as starting and i can no longer connect to NZBget from IE on a pc. I was told that would work does it??
-if i change the "Media setup" back to the USB stick again then NZBget starts and i can see it from IE again.

Thanks..
from Lars..
