Hi

I have a PCH A-200. I had a white screen then my PCH went into firmware recovery. I went to the NMT website (How to recover Popcorn Hour A-200 from firmware update failure with fail-safe kernel?)got the recover -bin. and got err019
. I tried the jumper and nothing .. Same problem blue screen when I try the recovery err019 occurs.

I have reformatted my USB being used to FAT32 and tried it same problem, I have also formatted to NTFS and tried to recover and got the same result.

I have also deleted and re-downloaded the recovery-bin file a few times and it is the only file I put on my flash drive. It has never been in a folder as well

Can someone help me please. I have no idea what else to do.

I understand your explanation. However BD-Java Menus and even BD-Live are working pretty fine with the last firmware. I tested with Mamma Mia and Gran Torino.

I'm updating my A210 with the latest firmware via ethernet since 2 nights ago. However, until today it is at 14% downloading image screen.

What should I do. Please guys I need your help.

one possible bug, difficult to reproduce but happened twice since update. I FF a video going right (the 30 seconds advance), and the video stays with no audio. I stop it and any video I try to play just doesn't start. If I power off/on my popcorn, it starts to work again.

Hi all,

I am not sure I am the only one that have a problem with this fw or not. But after upgrading the FW, my A200 cannot see my Samba shares anymore. When I clicked to Network Browser, the only thing there was NFS Server, which I dont have on my PC. My other C200, on the same network works just fine. And everything had worked just fine before I upgraded the FW. The problem is, now, even I downgraded to the old fw, it does not work either.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium on my PC for my shares, and I have used Samba for a few years, beginning with one of the first A100. I already read many posts, and went over the Wiki pages a few times, but I still could not solve the problem. Like I said, my C200 works just fine, so I ran out of ideas now.

Please help!

You should always see the NFS server, but the fact you cannot see samba indicates you should start with the usual setup. Is Samba running? Do you have your network name the same (previous firmware it only liked WORKGROUP as the network name). Is your cable or wireless functioning? Can you ping the NMT? Did you power cycle the network? Perhaps you could be specific in what you did to enable some other suggestions.

Can anyone confirm the TrueHD AC3 extraction is working? From the release notes:

Fixed ability to extract Dolby Digital (AC3) core from TrueHD stream

I tried with a couple of Star-Trek blu-ray rips (straight folder rips) and its not working for me. DTS core extraction from DTS-HD(MA) works as usual.

Thoroughly tested. I have a BDMV folder of Star Trek (200) Region B.

You can confirm by playing it in SimpleBD+AVCHD mode.

During playback press TITLE button on remote, select Audio and you will find a track called "Dolby D (Core)"

Can you share what your settings are under the Audio section? Should I set Dolby to downmix of passthrough? To be clear, I'm expecting DD 5.1 out of the coax s/pdif, not a stereo downmix.

I use a Samsung TV that has it's own Optical Out jack. This setup is less common because not a lot of TVs do have the capability to internally decode DTS/DD.

Hence I treat my TV just like an AVR hence;

HDMI Audio: ON
Dolby: Passthrough
DTS: Passthrough
rest set to downmix (WMA, AAC, etc)

If I have an old receiver that connects via optical/spdif I would attach it to the TV (not the A200/A210).

More common setups are;

If you have an AVR attached via optical/coax directly from the A200/A210 then you have to set HDMI Audio to OFF to test. I am uncertain if the A200 passes audio streams SIMULTANEOUSLY to both HDMI and Optical/Spdif ports.

I have tested an BD iron man 2 and menu do not work
