This is the first update I've had to do since I got the box, I'm assuming I can ftp the files over to the usb drive I have attached to the a210 with nmt apps on it and navigate to the files and run it as per normal, correct?
(I tried installing via the pch maintenence menu but it froze after 100% and gave me the ERR015.) Thanks! kintas thats wrong, YCbCr is how colors, contrast,...... is handled, so using BT.709 all the time is wrong, if you only play HD Content, like BDs or mkvs then it is fine, but when you also play DVDs or avis as example then BT.709 will be wrong, because this needs BT.601, so using YCbCr Auto is the correct setting.

First of all, thanks for the firmware update!!
I do, however, have a few issues. 1) Playback of m4a files I often play m4a files that are podcasts. However I experience a few issues. This was also the case with December firmware( I did not upgrade with to the march firmware due to the "ISO and BD playback fail from USB, when started through certain flash app" issue) a) jumping in the file, using numeric keys (0 to 9) does not work. After pressing a numeric key, the time frame jumps to the correct time but the file does not continue to play. Hitting the stop button is the way to stop the b) At the end of an m4a file, the time counter in the upper left corner of the info screen just keeps counting while the length of the file is exceeded. This seems a bug to me? Is anyone able to reproduce this?? c) with the latest firmware I experience crackling noise when playing an m4a file (mediainfo of such a file is listed below) (I did not notice this with december firmware). This crackling noise is only present during playback of m4a files, not with mp3 or video files. The above mentioned issues appear when playing m4a files (downloaded from itunes) from my NAS (using SMB or NFS protocol) as well as when playing from the internal hard drive. Moreover, after converting such a m4a file to mp3 all above mentioned issues are gone... The A200 is connected to a receiver using the optical output (S/PDIF) My audio settings are the following: HDMI: off PCM: passthrough AAC: downmix WMA Pro: downmix DTS: passthrough Dolby Digital: passthrough Mediainfo of one m4a file: PHP Code: Format : MPEG-42) Playback of BD When using 'full navigation' and starting a BD, the first few seconds (i.e. after starting the BD only 1/4 of the screen (namely upperleft part of the screen) is used to output the video. After a few seconds, the full screen is used to output video. Moreover, before video is displayed on the screen, during loading of the BD, the circle with dots appears on the screen for a few seconds. Is this normal behavior?? When using 'AVCHD + simpleBD' all works as expected, i.e. the largest file is found and displayed in full screen. Video settings: Output: 1080p 50Hz Framerate sync: NTSC/PAL TV: Panasonic TH-42PV70 connected by HDMI I hope someone can help me out or reproduce my issues, Thanks in advance!! |

usually something starting in the upper left corner can be fixed by changing the video zoom setting (video settings screen) and making sure it's set to fit to screen. I'm not sure if that applies to this specific br issue though.

My iso, U2 360 Live at Rose Bowl, full blu ray, don't work with full navigation, simple navigation YES, in A-210 and C-200.

In simple mode PCH uses BD playlist to play the main video which is better than simply picking a largest file as there might be none but a bunch of small files that are assembled with a playlist. If there are several playlists on a BD, e.g. in case of a theatrical+director's release, then one of the playlists is picked though I'm not sure on what criteria. In case of full BD navigation these playlists are handled by a BD navigation engine which processes a BD-structure. |

Nice to see "BD full navigation" enabled, the best firmware update for me since I bought my a-200, thanks!
Hope "menu language setting option" will be implemented soon for c-200 and also be enabled for a-200/a-210 |
