PCH interrupts MP3 play

Hi All,

Been having this problem for 6 months now, had hoped a firmware upgrade will solve this eventually...

Evry time i click play in an mp3 directory (internal hdd), the PCH will play a few files (random number before folder ends), then screen will return to file list display while playing on, then stop.

Sometimes it will work when clicking play again (the above will happen again), until it will just skip through the entire directory without playing at all. At this point none of the files will work, no movies either, only a shutdown will make things work again.

This never happens during movie play, which works fine, including playing an entire folder of movie files.

The internal hdd is a 1.5TB Samsung green.

Any ideas??
