If the webcam requires drivers, working over USB for instance, it would take some time to get implemented (if ever, but it's a really cool idea!).

But if you have a webcam that transmits supported video formats over IP, for instance Axis http://www.axis.com/products/cam_207, then you could use it already now.

Note I have not tested the linked cam so I can't tell for sure if it works.

It would be nice to find a networked cam in WS, though.

Audio, video, disco - I hear, I see, I learn.

Plenty of Routers running on MIPS processors, using Linux with USB that can do webcams, so it should be possible to install the needed drivers and software on a PCH. A router is maybe half the price though and much easier to update the kernel, etc.

RE: webcam on my popcorn hour ???
So has anyone tried to get a webcam stream on the popcorn hour?

I have an Axis 2401 video server.
Here's some of the code that displays the video stream on a webpage:

Code:
var output = "<A HREF=\"http://10.1.1.25/axis-cgi/com/ptz.cgi?imagewidth=352&imageheight=288&center=\" TARGET=\"Trash\">";
output += "<img SRC=\"http://10.1.1.25/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=1&resolution=352x288&";

Should this work?

Thanks!
DJ
