Possible Popcorn Hour killer?
Xtreamer Prodigy

This device seems to have full 1080P 3D BD-ISO support through the now standard 1.4 HDMI port. Is there a new Popcorn Hour around the corner that can compete with this?

Mitsubishi 82" 3D DLP WD-82838 / Optoma BG-ZD101 3D Glasses
Denon AVR-991 HD Audio/Video Receiver
Samsung BD-D7500 3D Blu-ray Player
7.1 Audio - ADS Main Tower Speakers/POLK Side and Rear Surround/Cerwin Vega dual port Center Channel
Custom Build 15" Tempest SonoSub 24" Dia. x 48" Tall 14hz low end (two 17" flared ports)
Mede8er 600X3D
Popcorn Hour C-200
All HDMI 1.4a
Media Server: 20TB with NSF streaming to Mede8er and SMB to Popcorn Hour on Gigabit LAN

xtreamer can't even compete with itself and have pissed off their customers so many times anything they have coming is vaporware to me.

meh I rather stay with reputable company than thieving cowboys

RE: Possible Popcorn Hour killer?
If the xtreamer has a gigabit lan that is TRUE gigabit and not the fake-GB that the PCH is sporting them it might be a winner, for me at least.

RE: Possible Popcorn Hour killer?
If Xtreamer has anything to offer you then this forum is certainly not the place for you.

You get what you pay for in media player land, cheap is not good. Realtek chips are not as good as Sigma for picture quality which is the number one factor for serious users.

As far as the Company they are now even in dispute with just about everyone including their couriers and their customers!

"It encapsulates future possibilities to boot the machine with android 2.2 (we will do so when the SDK provided to us by Realtek will be more stable)."

w00t!

It even has a "strong" 750 Mhz CPU!

September 15 release date - hah!

They really should get a native English speaker to write their copy. I am not one, but even I could do better.

Wow that company is still in business?

I thought with the backlash it received from it customers of promissing things it never brought to the table that they went out of business?
