C-200 not seeing all files in smb 2.0 share
For some time now i have this very annoying problem. I've got a Win.7 machine running as a server with a raidset in it, wich is shared. When i connect to the share with the C-200, using the appropriate username and password, the C-200 does not see all the files in the share.
I've read about the samba 2.0 problems, and already read the wiki entry's on this matter, but could not find a solution to my problem. I also have some other dedicated nas devices running and those, in combination with the C-200, all work fine. These devices obviously make use of the classic smb implementation. When i connect to the share on the win.7 machine with my laptop running win.7 i see all the files in the share, as expected. I also used the suggested tool to fix smb shares, nothing changed tough, still not seeing all files. Does anyone have a idea how to fix this? |

RE: C-200 not seeing all files in smb 2.0 share
are you using a torrent client to automatically move the files to the folder? if so they might not be moving over with the right user/permissions for the share.

No, i manually move the files to the folder. All the data on the share was placed there manually. Since "obtaining" audiovisual data often causes huge disk loads, i use a usb disk for that. When all tasks are fininshed on that disk, i move the content manually to the raidset.

I've checked the properties of the files not seen by the C-200. The popcornhour user has full permission for the files, that includes reading, writing, listing and deleting.

I could see AVI files (not all but a lot of) but could not see MKV or MPG at all. |

RE: C-200 not seeing all files in smb 2.0 share
I'm still having this problem, and i cannot figure out what's wrong. Now when i want to watch a movie, i have to manually copy the file to another share on a dedicated nas.
Does really no one has an idea what could be the problem? I've read on this forum that more users have this annoying problem. To summ up what's going on: i log on to the share with my pch c-200, with the appropriate username and password, the smb host accepts the logon and the pch shows some of the files in the share, but not all files. I cannot see any difference between the files that are showing and the files that are not. I even tried tweaking win.7 to only run the old smb1, this resultet in my share not showing/functioning with all computers on my network, and i had to recover the system to a previous restore point. Now it's all back to "normal", and the pch still randomly isn't showing some files. |

RE: C-200 not seeing all files in smb 2.0 share
If its a PC and W7 then I've seen some suggest that its because you have used 'share with' rather than sharing on the setup.
A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

Sorry but what do you mean for "sharing on the setup"?
