not sure if its the way you have your folder set in SB. Like i have said before i tell SB to store files in /share/Download/Tv, then when SB moves files i get

I tell SB to use season folders thats why i have the "Season 04" folder.

Any new show i add will auto default to /share/Download/Tv followed by the show name and then the season number. If you have Tv shows in more then 1 location then you can tell SB where each 1 is but remember when adding new shows it will create the folder for that show, so dont use /share/Download/Tv/Torchwood as SB will turn this into /share/Download/Tv/Torchwood/Torchwood

Here's mine:

I select a show to be downloaded via SB. The SB category is set to 'TV'.

SB passes an NZB to NZBGet.

NZBGet has its download folder set to /share/Download/NZBGet. Episode is therefore downloaded to /share/Download/NZBGet/TV/(NAME OF EPISODE)

SB has its watch folder set to /share/Download/NZBGet/TV . It then moves the episode to /share/TV & Movies/TV/(NAME OF EPISODE)

I see nothing wrong with the above thus far. Now, if you FTP in to the PCH and attempt to delete the episode in TV & Movies/TV/(NAME OF EPISODE.avi) you'll encounter a permissions error ([L] 550 Could not delete Desperate Housewives - S07E21 - Then I Really Got Scared.mkv: Permission denied).

From extensive Googling I suspect this is an ownership issue. It looks like SB moves/writes the episode folder/file under 'nmt' ownership where FTP is run under 'root', if you see what I mean?

This is only happening with SB moved files.

Anyone else care to comment?

[edit] Try deleting your Torchwood file, via FTP, see hat happens?

Your setup is fine, that is where most people go wrong. I normaly delete files via the network share not ftp, I dont have any files i wish to delete but i can rename them via ftp so i belive i could also delete them as well. The only differance i can see is your useing NZBGET folder to store the files, did you make this folder or was it created by something else.

try in telnet chmod -r 777 /share/Download, that should give full permissions to the NZBGET folder and everythin else inside.

Could SickBeard be interfering with the NMT (a110) ftp server, or maybe telnetd?
I already reported the long boot-times after installing SB.

today i did a clean NMT Apps install, and started installing the apps trough CSI one by one again. (in this order)

I did a reboot between every install confirming it is still working ok.
Its only after installing SB, (i shut it down trough its web interface, to put config.ini and the database files back)
that everything started going weird:

on the tv everything seems fine, oversight just shows up (i have an index.html to show oversight)
but trough the computer (browser) i can't get into the pch.

when i look on the tv at Config > NMT Apps,
ftp is stuck at starting

samba works, csi can't access the installed files (i tought it works trough ftp, right?)
i can telnet at the start of the reboot, when i use top to see what's happening in the back,
i see a lot of sb processes there, and there is something stuck on the ftp start..
NZBget doesn't even show up.

only after a very long wait (15-20minutes) the browser-stuff seems to be responding,
first in like maybe-yes/maybe-not, and then just stable browser interfaces.
telnet is still out...


As you can see on my explenation, the problems only start after installing SB,
so my logic says the problem must be here, right?

Miller - how do I add exclusion filters? I want to exclude Inside Breaking Bad from being downloaded but can't see how to do it

Apart from that everything seems to be going well on my A110

sorry Atinkler SB only permits show to download that you have added. If you have not added Inside Breaking Bad then it should not download it, if you have added it then just click on its link from the main window and you then should be able to delete the entry from sickbeard, this will not delete files, just stop SB from downloading new episodes.

If this is not what you mean please provide a little more info.

i've only used CP at the moment and it seems really good ... not sure what it does to blow Feedtime out of the water but if you've got some examples of the things it can do I'd like to hear them.. BUT it have to say it looks great

When you first add a show with SB it will look at TVDB site and get list of matching shows, say you typed in dr who, there are several shows matching this just tick the one you want and SB will add and download only this show in what ever quality you want. If your not sure what is the correct one it gives tvdb links for each match so you can look before ticking. If your like me, you download overnight, how many time do you go to watch something and its out of sync or bad encode, SB will monitor to see if a proper is released and download it again and delete the first file. This all happens when im asleep so i know when i got to watch something it will be ok.

Plus knowing when new shows are comming up is a good feature, any shows you have added will show you when next air date is and when next season is all with cover art(or banners) very cool GUI.

Ah! I get it.. I suppose very few shows at the moment worth watching so when there are and I want to set them up it'll all come into it's own then... How do you get it to look all nice with cover art/banners etc .. mine just has text on the coming up page

Add all your shows now and forget about them. Top menu Poster,Banner or list, your viewing in list mode, click the others to see what they do.
