RE: Plex Client on the PCH
Hi manecas

Need to do a few things before a public beta
Namely
Improve the movie detail page (adding play and resume from buttons etc...)
Improve transition to playing movie (doesn’t always play the movie on the first go/press of the button)
Build a TV show detail page
Build music page/player - not that important just yet
Find out how to find the plex media server on the network
Build a settings page and figure out how to save the setting so you’re not setting them every time you start the app
Then once I have these out of the way I’ll do a public beta release and work on the plex media integration editing posters, background, setting movies as watched etc...
But to keep you going I figured out how to do menu/list fixed scrolling thingy and built a new main menu as you can see in this YouTube video

enjoy

Sorry that one was a bit short n sweat so here’s a longer one with a bit of back forth action YouTube

RE: Plex Client on the PCH
My apologies for asking on the wrong thread, but I suspect here is where I'll find people who might know the answer.

I've a PCH 110A with a 1GB hard Disc with a wired ethernet connection..

I've plex running on a Ubutu 13.04 desktop - and want to be able to access the folders and files on the HD on the PCH 110A.

I've got as far as mounting the HD from Xterm but can't seem to be able to gain ownership of the disc to change the permissions. Any help greatly appreciated.

RE: Plex Client on the PCH
@ rasman The PCH is my main storage area for media files - and I'd like to be able to access them from portable devices. I don't think the PCH 110A will run a plex server.

Is there a Plex server to run on the PCH-A110?
Any screenshots of what this looks like on the PCH?

Much interested. Cheers!

RE: Plex Client on the PCH
Plex is not a standard APPS Market APP and available for download in ther flash apps market on the player.

Plex requires more cpu power than the 100 and I'm pretty sure it only avaiable for the 200 onwards.

A400: SD Card(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD ROM (SH-B083L(SB01)), HDMI
CAT6 Wired Network: TV Panasonic TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407

RE: Plex Client on the PCH
Having a PCH A-110, I was disappointed to see that the PCH Plex client only ran on the 200 or better - I even considered trading in my old A-110 for a new A-400. But the old Popcorn Hour is still really rock solid and I still use it, so I decided to build a web-based solution inspired by PlexConnect (for Apple TV).

The A-110 works fine with the static generated html in YAMJ, so if I could use the same html methods used by YAMJ, then it should be usable on the older networked media tank. I started with the PlexConnect code and simply built an XSLT transform for the XML that the Plex Media Server returns - turning it into NMT-usable HTML.

I've uploaded my first compilation of "PlexNMT-100" (aka version 0.1.0) onto github here: github.com/junkcollector/PlexNMT-100.
