HBR-200/hot swap + mount/unmount
2 questions :

- just received my HBR-200 (thanks Popcorn Hour France Wink, C-200 is running fine since november 2009). features say hot swap supported. so ? is it working the same way as USB does ? I power on my C-200, insert a HDD inside the HBR-200, and when I'm done, I just go back to the SATA icon on the GUI, press "file mode" on the remote and select to eject the hardware ? don't want to loose datas or ruin my HDDs Big Grin

- about USB eject : when 2 USB or more are connected, you see a little arrow below the USB icon on the GUI, and you have to go down with your remote to select which USB drive you want to browse. but how do you properly eject/unmount them ? when I leave the USB icon highlighted, nothing happens when I push "file mode" on the remote. if I select one of the drive by going down and do the same, still no popup menu to eject the hardware. and of course, it's working great with only one USB drive connected. problem is I'm about to use the internal USB connector with a stick for my apps, and I wanna keep the eject feature (many, many USB drives...).

any help/informations appreciated Wink

RE: HBR-200/hot swap + mount/unmount
I never hot swap my hard drive. I always fully power down with Power then Delete.
As for the USB, try pressing enter on the USB icon then select the drive.

Yes Hotswap works for the SATA. However like Banditrider, I don't want to take the chance because if you used the same drive for torrent/usenet downloads and not turn off the apps before you do, it might cause corruption. Hence rather than go thru all the motions, I just power off.

Try this;

Highlight the USB icon on the main rotating menu and press the ENTER button. This will give you a list of attached USB drives.

Highlight the drive you want to eject (up/down arrows on remote).

Press FILE mode button and you will see an option to eject just the selected drive.

RE: HBR-200/hot swap + mount/unmount
thanks guys. no hot swap then, I totally agree with both of you.

and thank you for the tip with USB. I'll test it as soon as I've upgraded my C-200 with all the new hardware I have for him.

EDIT : working great for the multi USB removal (stupid I am not thinking about that by myself !). thank you Wink
