[200/300] SABnzbd

Hi all,

I installed sabnzbd 0.6.9 from the CSI, installing took some time but it works!
Now I've one problem left maybe someone can help me out here.

I've an external USB disk attached. When I login with the default FTP user (nmt/1234) on the PCH-200 I can see the disk as: USB_DRIVE_B-1 (and I also can write to the disk, for example make directories etc.)
Now I want the downloads from sabnzbd goto to: /USB_DRIVE_B-1/Downloads/incomplete and /USB_DRIVE_B-1/Downloads/complete so I changed the folders in the config page. When I change it and press save it gives the error:

Incorrect parameter: Cannot create download_dir folder /USB_DRIVE_B-1/Downloads/incomplete

Any ideas how to solve this anyone?

Might need to enter the full path, somthing like

/opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/USB_DRIVE_B-1/Downloads/complete

I am not 100% sure but its somthing like that.

i have A-300 SABnzbd work fine ,get i also get updated automatically? not that it is so important

so weird that it is more stable than nzbget

Sabnzbd does not update like Couchpotato or Sickbeard. You can update it yourselfs if you wish by going to http://sabnzbd.org/download/ and using the "Python Source (Linux, etc)" link.

You should stop Sab via CSI before overwritting the files then start via CSI.

I will be releasing a new installer for Sab (when i get a chance to do some testing) that will always install the latest version and that will allow updating via telnet, its low on my list as i was unsure if many users were using Sab on there nmt's.

the only thing is that a 300 work bad with nzbget and works perfectly with SABnzbd Strange but true ,I think a lot of people who use SABnzbd

for people who use 300
if you heve A/C 300 my advice is up to them Do not use nzbget but SABnzbd try it

I have been working on Sabnzbd yesterday and today and have a version ready for release after i have done a little more testing.

1. Installs the latest ssl libs and yenc, so i hope people who use ssl might get a little more speed.
2. Always installs latest version.
3. Just reinstall via CSI to update to latest version, without loosing settings.
4. Hopefully fixes newbin errors.

On my C200 SBnzbd always crash 5 / 10 min after the download begin.
I already try to uninstale local and sabnzbd, but the result is always the same .

Halloumba, this is the place for SABnzbd stuff.

Looking at that error, it looks like a wedui error. Did you go through the wizard and get to a working sab, if so how many connections did you choose?
The PCH is not as powerfull as a pc so setting to hight will cause SaB to crash, I would say a max of 4 if using ssl.

Hi miller, went through the csi to install and launch. Was all going well till I got to section 4 on the wizard and the got this error. I've tried it wih numerous connections but still get the same error. Only thing I haven't done is reboot the nmt and try again. Would that make a difference?

The error in Stage4 of the Wizard is normal (it has happened to me installing on every platform). Just reload the webpage again, you should see the SABnzbd interface.

So it is! just rebooted the PCH and loaded on the MAC and we're good to to go! Now to make sure it's all set up properly and is talking to SB!

Is there a wiki for the set up?

Setup is simple as long as cats, api keys and ip's or correct.

I have download folder on my root and inside i have tv and movie folders. I tell sab to download to these folders (in config) then CP and SB watch these folder and moves them to there final folders.

Have a go with it and see how it goes.

Sorry guys, just not 100% sure I have the set up all correct. SAB and SB are downloaded properly and I can make changes to them but not sure I have set up the folders properly. Also in SAB categories I can't seem to see the sabtosickbeard.py in the script. Is this not necessary now that both SAB and SB are on the NMT.

sabtosickbeard.py is not needed.

The main things to know is where your downloads go while downloading(A) and where finished files go(B)

#In SABnzbd config/categories
Make new categorie called movies
Priority Normal
Processing +Delete
Folder/Path /share/Download/Movies (A)

Make new categorie called tv
Priority Normal
Processing +Delete
Folder/Path /share/Download/Tv (A)


#In SickBeard config/Post Processing Configuration
TV Download Dir /share/Download/Tv (A)
When you add first Tv show it will ask for path where files are stored (B) i use /share/Video/Tv


#In CouchPotato Settings/Downloaders
#SABnzbd secton
Host localhost:8080
API key from SABnzbd config (not nzb key)
Category movies

#In CouchPotato Settings/Renamer
From /share/Download/Movies (A)
To /share/Video/Movies (B)

I have used my paths but as long as you match your Download location (A) and your final location (B) it should work fine.
