Converting Yamj from EGreat M34C to PCH A210

Hi, I just upgraded to the PCH A210 and want to use the YAMJ I have installed on my computer hard drive to play on the A210. I added my shares folder that I created with Winbolic and the A210 displays all of the covers correctly, but none of them will play. Can someone tell me what I need to do to correct this problem?

Fix the path in your library file.

I checked the Library file and it appears to be correct, pointing to my share file. Is there something else that could be causing them not to play. They play fine from the A210 Jukebox, but I have 14 HDD full of movies and if I don't remember which one has a particular movie then I have to open them one by one to look for it.

Thanks again for your assistance. I am fairly new at this. It took me 2 months before I got the EGreat to work properly.

We should be able to do it quicker than that.

I do think that one of the following problems is happening:
1) The share name is wrong
2) The player path to the share name is wrong
3) The permissions on the share/folders are preventing the videos from playing
4) If it's an existing jukebox (i.e. from the eGreat), check that the XML and HTML contains the changed path (easier just to re-generate the jukebox)

* wrong means different name, or different case. Videos is NOT the same as VIDEOS, so check the path & share names very carefully.

Thank you, I will check all of those this weekend. I have been very happy with YAMJ and hate to have to change to something else.

Omertron, I feel like a complete idiot, but I have tried everything I know and I can't get the video's to play. The wall is working correctly and all my movie covers and fanart are there, but nothing will play. I've reinstalled YAMJ 4 or 5 times and ran the GUI multiple times trying to get it to play the movies. I really like YAMJ and don't want to have to use something else, but I'm about ready to give up. When I run the GUI it does bring up the potential path error when I click ADD, but I can't find anything wrong with the path. I even tried using the "\\YAMJ\Shares" instead of the full path (X:\YAMJ\Shares) and I didn't get the path error message, but it still wouldn't play the movies.

I set up my shares folder with WinBolic and it was working fine on the EGreat, but not on the new Popcorn Hour A-210.

My shares folder is on X:\YAMJ\Shares. My PCH Network Share is pointing to there and named "md".

If possible could you give me a step by step instruction on setting up the GUI?

Does the md share work on the A210, if you don't go thru YAMJ?

Post your my_library.xml file up, in case its something in there.

I suspect that your md share actually point at X:\YAMJ\Shares, in which case your playerpath should be fille:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/md/

So your share did lead to X:\YAMJ\Shares?

Where do you store the index and jukebox folder, if its not on your md share somewhere you will run into mounting problems.

i switched recently, I found out that the 210 is case sensitive. the Egreat was not. so make sure all your paths and mounts match perfectly. now i am able to run both off the same yamj on my server.

Thanks lilhomer, I checked all of those, but still having problems. I hate to but I'm about ready to give up on YAMJ. There is just too many places where it's too particular and I'm just not following what it's looking for. I don't really like the jukebox built in to the 210, but at least it works.

OK, I did a new install of the current version of YAMJ and TOMY and now the movies will play, but I can't get any covers or fanart. It shows the name of the movie and I can click on it and the movie plays. Still frustrated!!! I use YANFOE to create the NFO's and it has everything there, but when I run TOMY it pulls up errors on every movie for the posters, & fanart. I've tried reinstalling TOMY, I even tried using the normal GUI program and not only no art, but the movies won't play either.
