RE: Oops Oversight crashed
When this error is shown up on your tv (or blank screen) then browse to the oversight gui on your pc - tools - logs - tv-log
I bet you'll find a movie or tv-show with UTF-8 Characters in it. Rename the movie or to be sure rename to ._avi / mkv / or whatever so oversight could'nt scan this again. Most time i got this problem with the ' symbol e.g. "Don't ..." Have a look here: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...#pid496010 Don't wonder about the error number. RE: Oops Oversight crashed
The problem has been logged in the Oversight Google Code page. Perhaps keep an eye on that page too.
http://code.google.com/p/oversight/issue...&start=200 There are issues with abnormal characters such as ' (apostrophe) and non-english letters (such as umlaut) Also on that page i have linked, it is mentioned about age/name sort order affecting the crash. RE: Oops Oversight crashed
How about taking out the _underscore? I have full stops or spaces in my filenames and don't have problems.
I would suggest The.Smurfs.2011.mkv as your filename and try again. Do a google search for the filename and imdb and if you get a result then should be ok. IE: the smurfs 2011 imdb PCH-A110, Netgear Stora, HDMI>Sony TV via Onkyo Amp |

RE: Oops Oversight crashed
are you sure it's caused by this file?
On your TV browse in oversight 'til you got a white screen. Then do nothing - go to your pc and open the web-interface of oversight. On the tool-symbol -> diagnostic -> gui log Code: (http://xx_ip_of_your_pch_xx:8883/oversight/logs/gui.log)Now you can see the last screen oversight tried to open. Near the end of the file you may find the filename which caused the failure. RE: Oops Oversight crashed
Ok, so the problem is solved?
By renaming the file it has been deleted from file list and rescaned. (11-24-2011 01:32 PM)kybo Wrote: I dont unterstand what is the probleme.... RE: Oops Oversight crashed
Hi,
I have the same issue and I don't understand how oversight works. I have done a test, in a single forlder I have added a movie without special character and I have the message error. The filename is : la cite de la peur.avi (instead of la cité de la peur). But if I change this title by: le cinquieme element.avi, it works. Even worse, if I change by: le cinquième élément.avi, it also works !!!! Crazy, isn't it??? Any idea why it works with some movies? You can try on your side, easy to reproduce. Regards, Clarkill |
