A-210 maximum video bitrate supported?
I am about to buy an A-210 but first I should like to be quite sure that my MP4/H264 video files having a very high video bitrate (around and over 40 Mbits/sec) do not have problems to run smooth.
These files are supposed to be in an internal SATA HDD (a Western Digital WD20EARX, 6 Gb/s, 64 MB cache, 2 TB, which, by the way, I should like to know if it is full compatible with A-210).
I put this question because I can see that it is said that A-210 supports more than 100 Mbps video bitrate, which value I should like to have a practical confirmation.
Thanks.

Ok, thanks a lot, I am happy to know I will have no problems with my video files.
So, SATA II, thanks very much!
By the way: what is the difference between HDMI 1.3 and HDMI 1.3a (1.3a is said to be the A-210)?

from the HDMI website:
Quote:Q. What is the difference between HDMI 1.3 and HDMI 1.3a, or 1.3b?
For consumers, there is no difference between HDMI version 1.3 and 1.3a or 1.3b. These minor revisions to the specification typically relate to manufacturing or testing issues and do not impact features or functionality. In addition, HDMI Licensing, LLC is actively working with manufacturers to reduce confusion for consumers by de-emphasizing version numbers and focusing instead on product features and functionality.

Go for a 5400rpm or 5900rpm HDD, less noise and heat and 7200rpm is not required for media playing etc.

A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI
CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407

RE: A-210 maximum video bitrate supported?
"Yes, it will play 40 Mbit files, people play avatar which maxes out around 45MBit"

Which file format, I should ask?

Ok, I already received my A-210 some days ago, and made my time with several tests in order to achieve my main purpose: I want the A-210 (with HDD) to be next to my HDTV (Panasonic TX-P65VT30E, HDMI connection) with all my home made videos and slideshows ready to be easily watched (with remote) one by one, with same quality as respective home burn BDs.
Firmware has been updated to version 02-04-110519-21-POP-411-000, and HDD is WD10EARS 1TB.

Now... my (only) problem concerns maximum video bitrate supported!

The one and only file format which A-210 supports in terms of a high video bitrate is "m2ts".
Such m2ts files, I take them directly from BDMV/STREAM folders which have been created when I burn respective BDs. Average video bitrates around 30-40 Mbits/sec.

I am sorry to say that neither my original MP4 video files, nor respective MOV conversions, could be played clean and smooth by the A-210, sometimes slowing or even hanging, distorted audio, etc..
I was about to return the A-210 back to seller when I tried the m2ts files, and this saved my day!

What could be the problem, if any, with A-210?
I could conclude (Internet) that used chipset (Sigma Designs SMP8643, 667 MHz) is the best available by now, among other brands. And I was almost decided to wait for some new device using the announced SMP8910, dual core, 1200MHz. A long, long wait, I presume! Anyhow, I think I have my problem solved, by now, but I should thank you all for your comments on this situation and your own experiences on this subject.
