nmj newbie questions
So I am working with the NMJ and am really liking it, but have a few questions I might ask you all.
1, whenever I try to exit the NMJ, using the red button, I get the following error and then it goes back to the apps menu. how o I get out of the browser? Can process your request, please hit return to continue 2. is there a way to retrieve data about a program from imdb., but keep a specific title? 3. I am little confused about how to manually add album art to movies. Do I need to make multiple version or just one and if so where should it be stored? Thanks, Scott |

RE: nmj newbie questions
I can't help you too much with item one, as when I exit NMJ via the red button, I got back to the standard interface for the video browser.
Regarding 2 and 3, you probably want to check into NMJToolbox. It's a piece of software developed by one of the programmers where you can manually add/edit any info about your movie collection (posters, thumbnails, synopsis, genre, etc.) Just run a quick search on this forum and you'll find the download page. Regarding your 3rd question, to use your own images for your movie collection, you can use the NMJToolbox or include your images before you do the embedded NMJ scan. Make sure they're in the following format; disregard the network path if your movies are stored on a local HD. This is the format I use for my collection and it works great. \\Server\Movies\Movie Name (Year)\Movie.mkv \\Server\Movies\Movie Name (Year)\Movie.jpg \\Server\Movies\Movie Name (Year)\Movie.fanart.jpg In the above case, the Movie.jpg file will be used for the poster and thumbnail (which I think is what you're referring to when you say "album art") The fanart image is used as the background when you select a movie to view the details in NMJ. Good luck! |

RE: nmj newbie questions
Thanks, as for part, three, once it scans and finds those images, do I need to leave them there, or will it move/copy the images where it needs them?

RE: nmj newbie questions
Definitely leave them there. NMJ will create a thumbnail image and save it in the "media" folder, but it will reference your picture for the poster (larger thumbnail in the details of the movie) as well as the fanart (background) images
