iplayer download videos
Hi,
I was wondering if you are ablt to download the videos from bbc iplayer onto the hard disk or better still an SMB share? The problem I have is that my internet connection is to crappy to stream properly. Especially HD. I prefer to download first using thier windows application.

You cant do it via the box but you can install getiplayer (do a google) on you conputer and download them that way and then share them / copy them to the HD.

Yeh you wouldn't be able to download and thenwatch as it would break the terms I would have thought. BBC cannot want you to download a savable copy which is why software such as getiplayer is around.

The next firmware has some imporvements to the Apps Market in general including from reports the ability to buffer a large amount before playing.

RE: iplayer download videos
Well you can download them with the regular windows iplayer application. Thats what I do all the time. They are protected though and they expire in 30 or 60 days, also to my knowledge you have to use the iplayer app to play them. I'm sure a similar expiry mechanism could be used in the PCH?

I'll look into the getiplayer; thanks.
