Been looking at buying an HDD to put in it and I am astonished, and appalled, at what has happened to HDD prices, all being blamed on the Thailand floods. The 2tb drive I bought for about £50 4 months ago is now on offer from the same reseller at over £150! Everywhere I look, drives are about 3 to 5 times more expensive than even some of the Google links suggest. Someone is obviously profiteering from the short supply. I doubt it actually costs any more to manufacture the components and assemble the drives so it's almost certainly just a result of the law of supply and demand.

Anyway, decided I can wait for the HDD and ordered the WD AV-GP WD30EURS 3tb drive from Amazon UK at £132 but with an estimated despatch date of 3 to 5 weeks. Hopefully, they won't cancel the order as it is unlikely to be discontinued that quick and they are usually very good at honouring their prices. I haven't seen this one specifically mentioned on the compatibility list for the A300 or A210 but it seems to meet the recommended criteria.

They seem to have the odd one in local stores if you are lucky. You can reserve one but not order on line.

Its a bit hit and miss but worth a try - They had one where my folks live so got my dad go to collect and post onto me

As it comes out of the box does it offer the option to browse via internet to specific sites like you tube,Picassa,e.t.c?
1 media player that i own now does it out of the box without installing third applications.

just got one this morning. I struggled a little with installing a 3TB HDD.
I'm still discovering features and configuration. I'm new to Popcorn hour devices, was using a HMB Movie Palace before.
it seems i have a problem (seen on forums that others do too) when trying to play avi files hosted on a READYNV+ NAS.
i can play mkv, m2ts, ... but no avi. any future firmware update to fix this ?

if it is related to the avi files reported then it will be fixed with upcoming firmware which is planned for end of this week or early next week

Hello there i am a candidate buyer of that product and i have a question.
Because i have an AV Amplifier 8 years old without HDMI Inputs,when i play BD-Iso Files Containing DOLBY TRUE HD sound my current media player (Xtreamer) sends simple 2CH PCM sound to my AV Amplifier via the optical output.
The A300 what does with that?
I wish it can sent simple Dolby Digital 3/2.1 to my AV Amplifier via the optical output.

The next batch is only for orders made on Nov 10th and 11th. That's only two days. Why are they so slow with processing orders? Are they only making two units a day? At this rate I may not see my A-300 until the New Year.

Maybe they were effected by the flooding in Thailand also so they have slow stock for parts

Mine was the last order they quoted to the second
