Werner cannot answer this question for the moment but I really doubt Syabas can affort not to bring NMJ V2 to the 200-series.
Syabas's reputation is the long support for older model so they don't want to finish up being hated by all their supporters...

I just think the 200-serie will have to wait a bit like until december for example to give the A300 the advantage for a while

So it looks that community were cheated? All the effort of us and advises given to Syabas here: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=52291 where given by us in a hope to be implemented in C200 and A200... And now it looks that they where "stolen" to A300 leaving 200 as is...
Is this a proper approach to the comunity? I realy feel cheated!

I see it differently
The new buyers will serve the community as betatesters. Once all the childhood bugs of NMJ V2 will be gone, the 200-series will get a proper version of their own

My concern is that Werner keeps ignoring the question on purpose which is never a good sign.....

Will the C-200 get the smart looking UI in a future firmware or not or will we be stuck with the
tired looking one we've had for years?

As for NMJ, I've given up with it to be honest as it's soo slow and NMJv2 will be no faster as the Sigma chip
is just not man enough for the job, so I'm quite happy with the YAMJ/Eversion which are pretty awesome. If Syabas
could just fix the hang on start-up issues which happen about 1 in 15 boots, I'd prefer that to an NMJv2 as it would be
more useful.


PS. Just as a quick note.... nearly 5 months since the last C-200 firmware update and that was only to update the BD keys.
Is the C-200 now obsolete?

Can you confirm wether A200/210 owners will get the same UI? Surely we must as it has been said there are revisions to the YouTube app which was to be included in the next firmware which I am hoping will give us a new UI.

Dump your A210 back to Amazon if you have chance.

You are going to be using USB Slave and the A300 has USB3 USB Slave by the look of it. So your files will transfer far quicker if you update your PC with a simple $20 USB3 PCi card.

The UI you seem to like more and we dont know when the 210 will receive NMJv2 so go for the new model. You'll get the faster chip which some are saying is the biggest advantage although 23MB/s via network transfer also appeals.

The guy asked as he has just bought a A210 and can return it to Amazon for nothing.

I have been answering his pre-purchase questions about purchasing a A210 as an upgrade from his A110. He has been waiting for the 200 series to get to near completion before purchasing the A210. He doesn't want to use any network or NMT Apps and wants to transfer content via USB Slave to the internal HDD which will be NTFS formatted.
On the UI side of things he has wants that NMJv1 doesn't provide. The UI of the 300 does. Hopefully NMJv2 will but we haven't seen anything or heard of any release. Also the question with regards the UI from the 300 being ported to the 200 series has been side-stepped numerous times in this thread. So it doesn't look like that will happen.

He will be on short timescale to return to Amazon so with his needs and the lack of info on NMJv2 and the sidestepping of the UI port I would return the A210, for no return fee to Amazon, and get the A300.

Well, from what Werner told me in the Shoutbox, what you see here IS NMJ V2...
I really think (and hope) we will get it too. Probably just later on.
Fine with me as for the moment I only have an internat 2Tb HDD with my movies and series.
It's just that later on I'll plug more hdd and then it will be intresting to have one db for all locations

Like I said, I really don't think Syabas want to have all his fans against him.
It's not the style of the house, aspecially that Syabas has a very good reputation about support of 'old devices'

Thanks chris..only problem is i hate buying things when they first come out so not sure what im going to do

Anyone know how long after this going on sale on the main site will it go on amazon..im more confident buying from them just cause i can return and exchange so easily and i get free 2 day shipping

If i go past my 30 days on this and decide to go for the a300 down the line ill try selling the 210 and hopefully not lose much
