Because for streaming media from a usb-device through the A300 to the TV there is no need at all for USB 3.
The usb 3 slave port is very important as you will win a lot of time to copy movies to your to the internal hard disk

Love the new UI and NMJ v2! Seems its not the same Sigma SOC from the Popbox V8, but you can put a Sata HDD inside the A-300, but no Full BD Menu support.

I'll buy a A-300 or not depending on that.

I would say you should wait for the C650, it's coming out in 2018 :-D

i am a little dissapointed for the announcement of popcorn new product now,maybe my expectation is too high from the popcorn.Anyway i was waiting almost 3 months for the new products,i sold my old popcorn a-110 and i was going to buy c-200 but i have chnage my mind and want to buy new product for the future.Now there will be a few more products near future like dune or other brands.I am going to wait their new products and decide after.

So what if streaming doesn´t need usb 3.0 speed,transferring of blu-rays to the attached USB devices would surely benefit from all ports being usb 3.0,it is a flatout no sell for me that you didn´t incorporate usb 3.0 to accomodate the higher lan speeds as well. Now the bottle neck will be the usb 2.0 when copying large files over the network.

It is just not good enough, you had the chance to incorporate usb 3.0 on all ports,and somewhat future proof the product,but maybe that is a business strategy,so you have a selling point for the a-400?

what should bring usb 3.0 when the SOC never will be able to give you the transferspeed you wanna see?
USB 3.0 Slave is a different story, because thats a seperate chip and has nothing todo with the soc.
