Internal equalizer for audio into popcorn c-200?

Internal equalizer, through software, (for the movie's audio)... does it exist in any Popcorn c-200 Firmware edition?

I don't think you will ever see this in a PCH firmware, and personally I wouldn't want it.

Controlling treble, bass, etc should be only done on the device that amplifies the sound, ie. TV or receiver. The PCH should output audio as intended from the source, like a DVD or BluRay player. I also disagree that the PCH can change the output volume, there is no need for this as it only generates complaints of audio distortion from users that don't leave it set to 0dB.

It doesn't interesting for you but think about people who don't own a receiver?? or cheaper TV that cannot offer good sound results.

I agree with "geekuix". Why limit the options of popcorn?
There are people who need it, me for example.


"Pernod"... if you dont want to use the equalizer you can set it to zero.
Similarly, you can now control the image: brightness, contrast, etc. .. but not required, it is only one option.

Hello,
i often use my C200 to listen some mp3 music.
but mp3 are always poor in high & bass frequencies, so a little equalizer into C200 would be great for me.
Note that lots of hifi amplifier device (as mine) doesn't have any bass nor treble capabilities because you don't need it when listening cd or sacd.
I know that C200 pre-amplifier is quite bad too if you don't set volume to 0dB, but if you can't rise bass frequencies level, you may set mid and high frequencies to a lower level in order to obtain some equilibrium listening to poor encoded mp3. Doing this we will be far from hifi audio, but in some case, my ears will thank me for sure !

I would not like the NMT to touch or modify any audio..

If the sound quality of MP3's need improving then either use lossless or high bitrate and if you can't... then get an external equalizer..... don't try to make us all pay so you don't have to.
