which app to play music without TV and motre than pure web remote ?

Dear All,
I'm searching for hours now, but I'm confised what program/jukebox/whatever I need.
I have an A210, lots of flac installed on the hdd in it and much more coming as I grab my CDs.
I want to play music from the HDD inside the popcorn to a DAC connected by coax and the popcorn controlled from my android phone web broser (or other app). So, I do not want to stream music from PC or to PC or other device. Just play without the TV.
Also, the pure web remote control is not enough. The album artwork would be nice, but not a must, must scrolling in the song, play the entire album etc. would be important.

Which direction should I start ?

you might try the eyecon app http://www.eyecontec.com/ not sure if it will work for your needs just make sure the upnp service for the pch is turned on.

I had very bad experiences with the integrated UPNP server (hangs, not showing up in the UPnP controller list, artist, songs and/or albums not in the list, bad volume control etc.) If you do decide to use UPnP, a nice and simple Android app is Andromote, free and paid version (worth the money). Eyecontroller has a lot of eyecandy and extra features, but for simply playing flacs on your PCH it's maybe a bit overdone.

I now use MPD (available through OPKG, which in turn is available in CSI. Check out this thread for instructions how to install (where it says IPKG, read OPKG). There are many apps and plugins for controlling MPD, for Android I use droidMPD. My gf uses hey Iphone (not sure which app) flawlessly to.

Hello, just to clarify, I do not want audio data to travel on the network. Just from the internal hdd to the coax out. Why would I need upnp ?

You might try musicbrowser. It supports local playback in server mode.

mpd (music player deamon) is exactly what you are looking for. You can easily install it with the community installer.
with a quick search on this forum you will find useful info.

You can control it with a variety of client.
I personally use GMPC (PC) and Droid MPC or MPDroid with my android phone.
