No sound in mpg files
Hi
ALl my home videos are in TOD format (JVC Everio camera) The general advice for these files is to convert them into mpg files using MPEG_Streamclip. This seems to work fine on the PC and I can play / edit them with no problems. However when I put them on the popcorn there is no sound at all. The option I was advised to use in MPEG_Streamclip is 'Convert to MPEG and MP2 audio'. IS the audio part of this a problem on the PCH? Cheers |

RE: No sound in mpg files
you would have to post a mediainfo output of the file but most .TOD files you can just rename to .mpeg and they play

RE: No sound in mpg files
Try two things:
1. Restart the pch. After playing 24 fps material, and then trying to play a 25 fps DVD it will play without sound (at least my a200 does). Restarting fixes this until next time. 2. Try adjusting the sound level with the pch remote. Under some circumstance that I'm not clear over, the sound level will drop to -15 while still appearing to be set at +-0. Just adjusting it up/down and then back to +-0 fixes that (until next time). This only affects sound that is decoded on the pch, so codecs that are set to passthrough are not affected. |
