Still on upnp and flac

Hi all,

I would like to know if there is any news on support of upnp and flac. I recently bought an external DAC and I would like to play my flac files using my C200. I would prefer to avoid to have a dedicated device just to play my music only because it supports flac over upnp (and there are several softwares supporting it).

You can't tell me what to do!

But yes, flac is in llink if you wanted to try that.

TYPE|name=Music|ext=*.mp3/*.wav/*.ogg/*.wma/*.flac|filename=line_music.html

Although, I see I missed it in mime.types, so need to add that for UPNP goodness.

Unfortunately it seems it's supported for every platform including qnap but only arm based. I didn't find version for intel based qnaps (i've a ts-459)?

Furthermore this is not upnp, so i can't control via an upnp controller (such as plugplayer for iphone/ipad).

My goald would be to control the pch via remote with a small display showing me what's playing etc. without shitching on the tv.

Something i can do with several free (such as foobar2000) or paid software (such as jmedia river) using their upnp capabilities.

On the pch everything works fine except the feedback on current time of song playing (but this is acceptable) and the possibility to play flac files (and this is less acceptable for me..)

OK, so, llink is only compiled on the platforms that people ask for. If you haven't asked for ts-459 compile, there won't be one.

The new version of llink has full UPNP, and I can certainly control it with EyeCon, PlugPlayer etc. I use the android, or ipad apps.

Once flac is in the mime.types files, it should work with them too.
