[200] [Apps] MPDJukebox for A200/C200

Here is an adaptation of MPD Jukebox (MPDJB) from joblo10 (thanks a lot to him!)
You can refer to his thread.

First follow MPD thread for installation :

You need to install mpc as well to use MPDJukebox.
You need to start MyIHome server on your NMT.

Download MPDJB.tar.gz from here :

Copy the file on your PCH under /share
Use telnet to connect to your PCH, go under /share and type :

Quote:tar xvzf MPDJB.tar.gz

Things you may need to modify in /share/MPDJB/mpdjb.conf :
- name of file for album cover, default is cover.jpg. If you use something else, modify the corresponding line :

albumart_filename = cover.jpg

- if your music repository is not /share/Music, modify this line in the end of the file :

Code:

mpd_music_path = /share/Music

When everything is set, browse on your PCH to /share/MPDJB/index.htm

A few things were removed from original A100 version :
- removed slideshow
- removed albums views other than list due to sound stuttering badly when displaying images. So no covers wall.

So it's far from perfection, but I hope you'll enjoy it!

Do you expect that cover art will become available in the future?

Some minor remarks:
- it would be nice of the play button would result in 'play all'
- it would also be nice if the volume buttons would work, at least when in the now playing view.

I tried to find a way to display covers without screwing the active audio stream, but no luck. Seems to be gaya related.
I may try to make a Flash version one day or another, hopefully without this problem.

Are there any news? I really like MPD on my C200! With a graphical interface its perfect. Are you planning on displaying the fanart like on the A100? That would be perfect!
