me too have a poor subtitle resolution, and one more thing i am using arabic subtitle and i have two player A210 and laterly A300 i notice that the arabic subtitle is not in default subtitle but i can use it. by select its character set manual mean while in A210 it is there. so could you please make arabic subtitle in default subtitle

I don't know why I am still getting really choppy / low-resolution subtitles with the latest firmwares in both Thai and English.
The problem I have is with the subtitles that's embedded as text in the MKV and also the external SRT file. However, the subtitles that are downloaded from the A-300 doesn't seem to have this problem. Is there a way to even reduce the size of the subtitles? I can see there's color options but not size. (Only see delay, subtitle language, decode, and color .. no size) Everything is just so big! |

I've noticed a few settings when you press the 'sub' button on the remote, but I'm having a simple issue, I cannot seem to activate the subtitles?
I have a title movie and a ".sub" file which is called exactly the same filename. The files reside in the same folder - how do I activate the subtitle please? Cheers... |

There are different types of sub files. There are sub/idx and there are what is known as HD sub/idx. Further sometimes PGS are knwon as sub subtitles.
So you will have to make sure which type you have. The HD sub/idx wont ever work but the low res should eventualy. I think I tested and reported them not working a firmware or two ago. I would just download a .srt version of your subtitles in the meantime. In regards player settings in Setup you have two places to set your subtitle language. Then you have the subtitle button during playback. Browse using the up/down after pressing subtitle button. Select option via left/right when you have used up/down. How can I tell exactly what format it is? I know it's just extension ".sub"?
