Press the 'i' button when on the file in the filelist. Then on the righthand side you should see 4 icons, its the second down and then the last one near the bottom if i remember right. Just done it for a scene release and it worked fine. Deleted the srt subs afterwards as it saves then where the file is located.

RE: Does the A300 support subtitle downloading from inside the GUI?
It's very hit and miss. I've found that movies work better. Searching subtitles for series, you get 99% of wrong results. Perhaps I got accustomed to Boxee's (very accurate).
For example, "The Good Wife S02E06" returns 87 results. All wrong (altough they are all The Good Wife). It seems the search is made only for the "series" name, and not the episode or season number. Series with lots of seasons will produce fewer accurate (or in my case, none) results. As for chris57's comment. You don't even need to press "i". Just go to your right on file browser mode, the options is the last one on the bottom. |

Quote:Press the 'i' button when on the file in the filelist. Do you mean this should work from within the NMJ (in the main screen where you select your movies?)? If i press the I button when playing a movie, or when listing the movie in the NMJ, nothing happens.... Is there any sort of plugin i should install in order to get this working? PS; i play the movies from a network share I have a A-300 |

RE: Does the A300 support subtitle downloading from inside the GUI?
Joining on duksie's question,
Can I place a .srt file on an external USB flash drive, then hook the USB flash drive to the A-300, And then download the .srt file to the the correct Movie folder? @duksie
Not within NMJ, go into FILE view and then download the subtitle. Then back into NMJ and you should after an update be able to see that the subtitles are available and you can select them during playback via subtitle button. @pchfregister You can copy/paste the subtitle file from the USB stick into any location that you can access via the A300. Again do this in File Browser not NMJ. RE: Does the A300 support subtitle downloading from inside the GUI?
In my old twix from 2006 I can just press sub button and search for my subs in a internal subtitle folder
I do not have to rename the sub Its very nice and spare time Can we do that with A-300 in a near future ? A-300 Oppo BD, Pioneer LX-85/SC57, Panasonic 50" Plasma, Sony HW20 Projector etc .. Macbook Pro OS X Lion, Iphone 4, Cabled Gigabit Ethernet, QNAP NAS etc .. |

Right now, the only way I see which allows to add subtitles to the A-300 though the use of its menus - is via Online connectivity. Could you please try it with your A-300 machine and post back the exact steps? That would be most appreciated! RE: Does the A300 support subtitle downloading from inside the GUI?
Let me have a go, I know when I downloaded some subtitles they were displayed in filelist, can't remember exactly which format they were though.
I'm also wondering if the ones I moved were in a folder and I simply copied the folder. If its MKV its dead easy to add the subs internally using MKVMerge. All my movies are on the A-300 internal HDD (NMT Apps are installed on the HDD as well). 3. I found that one of my movie's subtitle files was incorrect. 4. Tried to find a way to copy the correct .srt file from a USB stick to the movie's folder (I originally copied all the movies in Salve mode). Again: Couldn't find a way to do so, just a way to copy subtitles straight from PCH's Online service. RE: Does the A300 support subtitle downloading from inside the GUI?
Right did a bit of testing both in terms of what can be seen on the internal HDD and also via SMB on my network.
Basically you can see nothing, I'm sure you used to be able to see sub/idx as I tested them on the first firmware so maybe it changed when I notified them that they are not working when external. Anyway I did find that I could move subtitle files via a USB stick from my PC to the A300 internal HDD. The workaround is to make sure that they are in a folder. So either delete the current folder with the movie and wrong subtitles and then transfer the movie and correct srt subtitle via marking a folder and then pressing 'copy to'. Then selecting the folder on the internal HDD where you want the folder to go. It then transfers all of the folder contents, srt subtitles included. Alternative is to just put srt in a folder. However you would need to ensure that it is named exactly as the movie as you can't see it to rename it in file browser. Probably easier to rename movie and correct srt and put in folder on your PC first. What happened when you were in file browser mode and select download subtitle option, does it give incorrect subtitles or can you keep trying all of the subtitle options until you find one in sync. I dont use it and have only tested it once.
