I have a trendnet IP webcam. My issue it that when i view it from a web browser, it uses java for some of its functionality. i have not been able to get it to work through the PCH. is there some way that i can view it through my pch? Ideally I would like to browse it directly from its IP address on my home network. If the solution is to go through some sort of proxy or server, how can i do that? thanks

follow up: i have read that the cam supports a protocol called rtsp (i am not familiar with this) -- can i use rtsp to stream to pch? and how? thanks

Either you use one of the three custom Web Services or you do a playlist file that the NMT can read.

(paste it to webcam.html and put it on a share, usb stick or whatever):

Now, your webcam must supply a supported stream such as mpeg-2, x264 in ts etc. Specs as always on popcornhour.com

thanks -- my cam also requires a username and password. how can i enter that? thanks again

I know this is an old thred but I have tried the above. If I use the url on my PC it then opens realplayer and streams fine but the popcorn hour goes blank then reverts to the previous stream.

My webcam is a y-cam and streams mpeg4, anyone have any experience of it?

Not sure it would tells us much, but perhaps you can save a sample of the stream and investigate it with mediainfo.sf.net to find out more details.
