A110 Network card issues (failing?)
As of late my A110 has become really slow.
I'm using the latest firmware + apps. Have an internal drive as well. So now: my PCH struggles to get to 2MB/s when streaming and uploading files from my pc via FTP. I have it connected via a 500mbs homeplug. (yes not ideal but the wiring in my house won't allow anything else). On times when I turned off the PCH completely it sometimes fails to aquire an IP address. I have to cycle the unit several times in order to get one. If I plug my laptop on the same cable I get an IP address immediately and the speeds are perfect. Internet speedtests are 45mbit out of my 60mbit cable connection (not bad for homeplug going over different circuits and 2 stories down) Is this a sign of the PCH network card starting to fail? |

RE: A110 Network card issues (failing?)
Hi All
I need some help to figure out what to do. I have a PCH-A-110 that has been working fine in the last couple of years. I've been updating the firmware frequently and it was in the last version when all this happened. Without any change in the Router, Cables, PCH configuration the PCH stopped responding to queries from the network. I can see movies but I can't connect to home network. The PCH is configured with Fixed IP , the lights at the back for the network interface are on. Everytime I change the IP address in the PCH the router sees the changes. The router is provided by my ISP and is a thompson 784 (it sucks I know) I've tried to connect to another router Linksys WAG200G and the behaviour is the same I've disabled the firewall in the thompson router and nothing changes I've assigned all ports 1-65535 to PCH and I can't access it I've usedthe instructions to do Firmware recovery with and without the jumper as per http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...very_A-110 I've now applied http://www.popcornhour.com/download/A110...-A110.html Release Date : 24 March 2010 Firmware Version : 01-17-100317-15-POP-403 NMT Apps Version : 00-17-091216-15-POP-403 But nothing seems to be working... Any thoughts? Regards profetapt |

RE: A110 Network card issues (failing?)
Hello
I've posted my request for clarification 10 days now, and so far no one has answered! Were is the popcorn support team???? Do I need to start calling the commercial team? Popcorn Hour Syabas Technology Inc 41823 Albrae St. Fremont, CA 94538 Phone: 510-979-0488 Fax: 510-619-7684 Sales: sales@popcornhour.com Distributors / Resellers: reseller@popcornhour.com Support: http://support.popcornhour.com Press or Media Related: press@popcornhour.com ---- What is the approach here when you don't get the support you need? Support is mandatory to provided to a large base of customers!!! How did popcorn become famous? was it becouse the C series product? Answer: Most likelly were the A-100 and A-110 that made the company who they are now !!!! So they need to treat their customer base better !!! |
