strange files after scan
Hi all,
Have some troubles that I can't solve.... After a scan, there are some movies in my NMJ that are 'ndefined It is written like it is : 'ndefined. You can see the movie in the list but when you push the OK button to open the screen were you can see the description and so, the name of the movie in the lower left corner is 'ndefined, were you normal can see the path to the hardrive. You can't delete them, you can't edit them, you can't play them. I have this with "Good Fellas" (also set in series ?), "25th hour", and the series "Strike Back Episode Dawn (wich is the second season....)" I did a complete rescan 3 times now and the problem persists... |

RE: strange files after scan
Yep, this sometimes happens. It's a known problem (I think) and the only way to fix it is using a tool like NMJ Toolbox. With such a tool you can link the file to the entry, which will then be editable in NMJ also.
Let's hope the next firmware will fix this. (NMJ V2 please, please, please )

RE: strange files after scan
I had a few of those as well but on my system, they're labeled 'Undefined' so not with the missing U. Results are the same though. You can't edit them, you can't update them, you can't delete them directly and they just plainfully mess up your jukebox wall. My problem shows are: 'Alphas' and 'Falling Skies'. I also notice that the title of these is containing extra spaces sometimes.
For series, you can get rid of those in NMJ but not always for movies. The way I removed them using the NMJ editing was as follows. I go to any other (correctly working) tv series, choose 'Edit' and then 'Reorganize video files'. Select one of the episodes/files and transfer it to the TV series that gives you this 'Undefined' label. Once this is done, go back to wall and look for the 'bad' show. Choose 'Edit' and 'Reorganize video files' and move the file you added here in the previous step back to it's original series. The result will be that the 'Undefined' tv show will be removed from the database because the system detects that no files are present anymore. Of course, a new scan might bring the undefined problem back but sometimes it kicks in correctly. |

RE: strange files after scan
Ok did some cleanup with NMJ Toolbox last night.
I cleaned up the database (500 movies, 40 series), were I added some info and changed names/titles to make it more smooth. But the "Undefined" items are still there ? I tried to change the info trough NMJ toolbox, tried to change the names. I also changed the file names on my HDD and did a complete rescan but it is still there ! "Strike Back season 2", "Goodfellas" and "25th hour" are still Undefined.... |
