[Release] NMJToolbox2 - Win. Editor for NMJv2 2x0beta 300 & 400 v1.5.0.8 Update 8/7/13

Problem with pathes
I am using NMJT2 version 1.0.1.8. When I add a new movie with NMJT2 it gets added with the full windows path and not with the translated NMJ path. When I try to play the video it can't be found. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

RE: NMJToolbox2 - A Windows Editor for NMJv2 - 1.0.1.8 -Update 20/02/2012
Dear Rom,

First and foremost I would like to thank you for all the effort you are investing in developing a tool which helps make PCH products actually usable.

I have a Popcorn Hour C300 media player hooked onto a NAS loaded with multiple series and movies. Unfortunately some movie files - especially series - frequently get misidentified by Jukebox, so I am trying to use NMJ Toolbox2 to cut some order in my ranks. I currently use version 1.0.1.8 of your software.

I have encountered two distinct errors:

1. Sometimes, when I try to move a complete ill-placed series from my movies to my TV series, I get an error message saying "Abort due to contraint violation PRIMARY KEY must be unique" and the move is not completed.

2. Sometimes, when some of my series are misidentified (wrong imdb TT code), and I change the imdb tt code to the tt code of the correct series, and press save, there is no error message but the new tt code is not saved - it reverts back to the original wrong imdb tt code.

Do you have an ideas why I might have encountered these errors? If you need further information about my configuration, logs, or my media.db file to identify this problem, please let me know. I thank you very much in advance for your reply.

This happens when I am trying to write a record with a specific ID but that ID is already being used by another record. If I could have a copy of your media.db and which 'movie' you are moving I can debug and track this down. It may be an error in my program or an error in your DB but without debugging it I can't tell. Just upload your DB to somewhere like multiupload.com and PM me the link and I will look at it for you.

I have not come across this before. If you correct the ttID and click the 'TVDBUpdate' button (the one to the left of the language selection) on the toolbar does it update all of the information and does it save then? However, I will test this out and see if I can reproduce it.

Dear Rom,

1. I have PM'ed my movie.db to you.

2. It seems to me that this error happens when I am trying to edit the tt code of the season branch of a TV series (2nd level). The save button does not work (has no effect), but when I step down from the record a window pops up asking me wheter I wish to save changes. I answer YES, but when I step back to the record in question the tt number is reverted to the original. I have not tried to use the TVDBUpdate button until now, since I have been updating movies with changed tt codes from my PCH. Will try and report back asap.

Best Regards,

AH! Thanks for that. The ttID in the season is the same as the one in the SERIES so change the one on the series (root) node of the tree. This is what the NMJ does as well (puts the series ttid in rather than the season).

I will look at changing this so that you can put the ttid of the actual season but I will have to have a look at the effects it has on the NMJ itself.

Thanks for the DB, I will get it now and report back to you shortly. (just finished adding the code to add new CD Albums)....

I have seen this error once. I had two copies of an episode in a directory holding the entire season. Even though they were different file types (mkv and avi), I had to get rid of one of them to stop the error from occurring.

RE: NMJToolbox2 - A Windows Editor for NMJv2 - 1.0.1.8 -Update 20/02/2012
I have found a couple of 'undocumented features' Big Grin which has caused your issues in moving the 'movie' to a TV series..... The code is fine.... IF you have your series named correctly. If you don't it throws it into a spin trying to put the new subsequent episode into the first episode added.

This is due to the software having to create a record for the episode then get the ID of the record for the title. Because your files are all identical after the season/episode numbers it always selects the same ID. I will try to put in some safety checks to sort these out but you also have a hell of a lot of bad records in the database too. I will see what I can sort out for you.

RE: NMJToolbox2 - A Windows Editor for NMJv2 - 1.0.1.8 -Update 20/02/2012
Dear Rom,

I assumed that I have bad records, I have a hard time forcing Jukebox to correctly identify various BBC nature documentaries and some other series. The problem is if I delete them from my database and then update via PCH, they always get incorrectly identified as movies again. Would be nice if I would not have to manually add them via NMJToolbox2.

I tried your proposal to use the TVDBUpdate button right after changing the tt code of the main series (level 1) without saving first, and it seems to be working fine IF the series itself is found in the TVDB database. It does not work however for some obscure series like BattleStar Galactica Razor Webisodes (although imdb entries exist for them). Once I get home from work I will try changing tt codes of main series (level 1) without using th TVDBUpdate button, and will come back with results to you.

Its very nice of you to manually correct my database file, although the best solution would probably be to hunt down the root cause for the errors in the first place. I thank you very much for your efforts, it is really a great thing how much support you provide for your nice piece of software. I will donate some money to you, but please let me know should I be able to help you in any way in the future (testing, translations, etc.) to make NMJTolbox2 as perfect as possible.

RE: NMJToolbox2 - A Windows Editor for NMJv2 - 1.0.1.8 -Update 20/02/2012
For difficult series its good to get creative! Smile

For the BSG webisodes (and other specials/extras etc) these are usually in TMDB as 'Season 0'. You will see that if you look at

http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=season&serie...5950&lid=7

The webisodes (I assume) are episodes 33 - 39 so simply name your files with the correct episode/season combo (eg S00E33) and NMJToolbox will automatically pick these up from TMDB for you.

The Nature series are a bit of a strange one and TheTVDB api does have issues with some of them. For example 'Life' or 'BBC Life' returns no results but 'Life (2009)' DOES pick up the correct series!

Adding series/seasons with NMJToolbox is pretty quick & easy, I added 10 seasons of Family Guy in less than 2 minutes with all of the artwork etc. However, I would advise to wait until the next release which will correct/work around some of the issues you have with your file names and also wait until I send you your DB back as anything you do since you sent it to me will be lost.

RE: NMJToolbox2 - A Windows Editor for NMJv2 - 1.0.1.8 -Update 20/02/2012
OK, I hope to be releasing a new version in the next few days. I have made some dramatic code changes within and due to the added facility of adding new CD Albums I have had to update the MediaInfo dll being used. As usual I know I would get many posts saying the new version does not work and it will be down to people not updating what they should. For this reason I have added an auto update routine to check the mediainfo version and get the correct version and update itself.

This is something I have never coded for before and I need people to test it.

If I have anyone that wants to test the new version just add a 'thanks' to this post and I will PM you the download link to the new version of NMJToolbox2.

Remember, some menu options you will see will not be activated/do nothing as I have not finished this version yet. Also remember - this is a pre-release and may contain bugs (more than usual) so please report any you find back to me. BACKUP your Media.db first!.

In particular I need people to test :
the auto update of MediaInfo.dll and then adding new films/tv/cd entries - causing the new dll to be used.
delete Album function
delete Track function
function to add new albums to the music section.
auto fix for videos added incorrectly with apostrophes and ampersands in the path or file name.
re-index all TV and Movies (clears the index out and rebuilds according to the 'search title')
extra checks in the 'Delete Orphans' utility to check for invalid VIDEOS & SHOWS_VIDEOS records.
filename in dialog when user is being asked for season and episode number.
catch for an error when multiple movies found querying TMDB but obscure error returns 0.
code for moving a season to another series but NMJ had created the records with the same season record but different series records. (it used to create orphaned records)
Added a check for the exact version of MediaInfo and if incorrect it will stop the program being able to run.
Reordered the music tree to place in alphabetical order of the album search title.
Fixed the 'season, episode fix' utility where in some circumstances it sets the TOTAL_ITEM field to the wrong value.
Fixed the display order of Seasons & Episodes when Season/Episode numbers > 9
Fixed the display order of Music tracks when track numbers > 9
Fixed display issue when music artist has an ampersand in their name.
Fixed error with ampersands in file path causing the title to not play in NMJ
Fixed error when editing a title in the tree view then not actually changing it.

Rom, auto update for mediainfo.dll worked.
Adding movies, series, music works.
Deleting and adding albums works
Deleting tracks works, adding tracks doesn't work.
Can't test degrading the mediainfo.dll, because it is locked by the application.
Display order of seasons shows correctly now (perfectly in order for seasons over 9).
re-index all TV and Movies (clears the index out and rebuilds according to the 'search title') fixed issue with ghost episodes in my system.

All in all, looks like a nice build ;-)
