RE: TV Series ISOs
It takes a couple of minutes to rip to .MKV with MAKEMKV, then rename according to TVDB and you're done (including extra's which should be down as specials there).
There's absolutely no point in keeping full disks with TV series. Cheers, -jj- PCH C-200 + LG GGC-H20L internal Blu-ray drive · YAMJ plus Aeon Wall · Samsung LE-46A956 · Sony STR-DG820 · JBL CS 1500 · 2 x 40TB Unraid servers |

That is YOUR opinion! Mine is that I want untouched BD and DVD to work with NMJ.

I have all my TV shows as VIDEO_TS folders with multiple episodes per folder. I have no intention of going back and redoing all those DVDs and I want the product I buy to work with my data. It doesn't seem that difficult to code for a folder with XXXXX S02E01E02E03E04. |

Apparently my A300 arrived today, but I won't get a chance to test until some time after next weekend. With a bit of luck we might get an upgrade to address this issue as it seems many users are using isos or video_ts folders with the entire DVD content. Regards, Allan |

Ah I forget: Sometimes there is one Episode which is marked as two. What are you doing then? Do you seperate them? Like this: Stargate.Atlantis.S01E01E02.Aufbruch.in.eine.neue.Welt.GERMAN.DUBBED.DL.1080p.BluRay.x264-TVP This is not often the case, but the fact is that NMJ does not support this! I recall that Sarah Connor Series 2 also has the episodes vob numbering out of synch with how they appear in the on-screen menu. There are others. The only way to be sure is to check manually - playback the file once ripped and then check the title against the episode title list in IMDB or TVDB. A real pain and something that I would not want to do with the 900 odd discs I have in iso format. a PS. ah, I see from halflite's response, and on re-reading sledge's comment, I am referring to a different problem. |

Because that is dvd numbering the air numbering is actually two episodes. there is never an episode that airs when its two episodes you either have a 2 hour special or 2 different episodes. dvd release treat it different and double episode it for some reason dont know why, and as NMJ uses tv release and not dvd numbers it would always show as two episodes not one. how tvdb splits and nmj would read http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=...1192&lid=7 |

RE: TV Series ISOs
Thanks for the hint halfelite.
I finally got my C300 today so I tested multiple Episodes, the result: Dexter.S01E01E02E03E04 WORKS! Playing them works, too. I tested only with BDMV structure but iso should also work. RE: TV Series ISOs
I can also confirm that DVD ISO episode naming like S01E01E02E03E04 works on the A-300.
![]() I did this for star trek voyager. The episodes will show the same time index... but they will have the episode name. without even having the episode name in the iso file name. So example: Star Trek Voyager.S01E01E02E03E04.ISO shall be displayed in NMJ as follows episode 1: caretaker (1) epsiode 2: caretaker (2) episode 3: parallax episode 4: time and again Note: for correctly displaying the episode names in NMJ the nfo file has to be the same as the first ISO file (example:Star Trek Voyager.S01E01E02E03E04.nfo) this goes for the offline cover and art cover aswell. Edit: disc 5 of star trek voyager season 1 is a special disk. I've just name this Star Trek Voyager.S01E17.ISO The is no 17th epsiode of voayger in season 1. So this will be only displayed in the NMJ as Star Trek Voyager...witch i think is fine... because al the other ones have episode names. But to realy complete it, then it would be nice to have the name star trek voyager S01 special or something like that. MAGIC!
Great result. Editing my filenames as we speak!! Needed something to do while the females in the house are hogging the TV with chick flicks! Should I mark the thread as 'Solved'! Allan |

RE: TV Series ISOs
I think so, you can mark this as solved yes!
But try it your self first. Edit on my last post about the special disc 5. Still renamed disc 5 to Star Trek Voyager.S01E17.ISO and then re-edited Star Trek Voyager.S01E17.ISO with the NMJED3 program There i've changed the name from Star Trek voyager to Star Trek Voyager Special Features. Witch now show as: Star Trek voyager to Star Trek Voyager Special Features in NMJ. Only thing that remains it the episode number witch still will be epsiode 17 PCH-A300 with WD Green 3TB / Samsung 1080P 40"/ DTS optical Reciever / PC i5 2500K / ASUS P8H67-V / XFX 6870 2GB GDDR5 / 16GB ram / Windows 7 64Bit Ultimate on OCZ SSD Agility 3 120GB 2.5" SATA3 Disk / WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200 64MB SATA3 / 2 x WD 1TB MyBook / PS3 FAT with 500GB / Nintendo Wii Softmod with 100+ games on HDD |

RE: TV Series ISOs
Yep, looking good here. Of 10 iso files that I have tested (each with multiple episodes noted in the file name using the naming convention noted above) for 10 different series, all so far contain links to each episode in NMJ available to select for playback.
Now back to cooking that Christmas Turkey before the rabble starts a rebellion! a |

RE: TV Series ISOs
OK, there appear to be some exceptions. I am finding that for Battlestar Galactica, NMJ is only listing the first episode in the name of the iso file. For example:
TV Series\Battlestar Galactica\Battlestar Galactica (2004).S02E01E02E03E04.iso TV Series\Battlestar Galactica\Battlestar Galactica (2004).S02E05E06E07E08.iso Do not appear as: Episode 1 - Scattered Episode 2 - Valley of Darkness Episode 3 - Fragged Episode 4 - Resistance Episode 5 - The Farm Episode 6 - Home Pt 1 Episode 7 - Home Pt 2 Episode 8 - Final Cut But rather as follows: Episode 1 - Scattered (for file: Battlestar Galactica (2004).S02E01E02E03E04.iso) Episode 5 - The Farm (for file: Battlestar Galactica (2004).S02E05E06E07E08.iso) Each iso is available in NMJ for selection, which is all I set really out to achieve. I know that Episodes 2-4 are on the same file as Episode 1, as the next episode, Episode 5, is the title of the next episode on the list. This meets my basic needs. For many series NMJ seems to read the file name correctly and list all episodes on each file for selection for playback. A bonus for me. Another thing I have noticed is that NMJ won't list the individual episodes if the file contains episodes out of order. For example, the Avengers boxed set DVDs have episodes all over the place, so I end up with file names like: The Avengers.S06E01E16E19 The Avengers.S06E02E03E07E10 The Avengers.S06E04E06E08E28 But, conveniently, NMJ lists the files as per Battlestar Galactica, by the first episode in the file name. The down side is I have no idea what other episodes may be on the file based on the info presented in NMJ. I'm OK with that. For others the only option may be to extract individual episodes, which for a large library could be very time consuming. Regards, Allan |

RE: TV Series ISOs
isn't it like:
Battlestar Galactica.S02E01E02E03E04.iso Battlestar Galactica.S02E05E06E07E08.iso So without the year number but with an NFO file linked to the first ISO So: Battlestar Galactica.S02E01E02E03E04.nfo Inside the nfo file the full imdb link? I think you should be oke then. If you use the 2004 BGS imdb link it won't use the old BGS. and it's not realy time comsuming if you download every single episode. that if you are downloading with news groups that is. and if so.... after downloading use the program called "therenamer" and it will automaticly rename the correct episodes for you by just simple drag and drop the file(s) in the program.
