Please let me know how to use the USB3 connection on A-300

I have a mac with os x lion

Have tried to connect with the usb2 special popcorn cable but the a-300 don't show up

Unfortunately, there is no way to connect the A300 via USB slave port to Macs using OS X Lion.

The A300 formats the internal HD using ext2 partition format and the aftermarket driver one can buy only works for OS X Snow Leopard.

You can google "ext2 driver mac os x"

One leads to the Paragon EXTfs for Mac OS.

It does not support Lion

Im using Paragon NTFS Driver and its updated to support Lion

What can I use the Usb3 slave for if not to Mac ?

The USB3 port is a USB Slave port for direct A300 to PC USB3 sockets. It works well and has been tested to work well.

There is no USB3 host port as the chip soc cannot handle USB3 speeds. So only transfers driven by your PC cpu benefit and that is why the host port is USB2 and the Slave port USB3. Simple.
