Hi ufitzit,

I can confirm that adding a large number of tracks to a playlist works perfectly now.
Thanks for making the fix!

Cheers,

RE: NMJED3 Windows editor for NMJv2 Databases (A300/C300) (3.0.0.7 - 10th July 2012)
The database version of the latest firmware (05-02-120711-23-POP-421) for the A-300 is 1.9.1 whereas 3.0.0.7 of NMJED3 only supports 1.9.0.
I'm assuming the next version should provide support for 1.9.1?

Thanks for that, I wasn't aware they had changed it. I will look into what's changed and get a new version out soon.

Having trouble locating any information about changes to the database on forums, I'll chase up official information. What might be quicker is if anyone has a new version database they can send me so I can check what's changed?

RE: NMJED3 Windows editor for NMJv2 Databases (A300/C300) (3.0.0.8 - 21th July 2012)
Hi guys!

Here's the problem I have with NMJed.

I added all my movies directly from my computer to NMJed. I filled up the information, including "search title" and double-checked the "groups" in order to ensure everything is right. NMJed sorts my library well (as I want it to) but when I turned on the PCH, here's what happened:

1/ CATEGORY MODE:
a) only a few movies are displayed (5 at most) per each category, whether it is alphabetical or by genre
b) the cover are wrongly associated to the movies whereas when I click on the movie, in the next panel the right cover appears.

2/ WALL MODE
a) some movies are randomly sorted out. They usually appear at the top of the list OR
b) there is some kind of inversion:

for instance: in NMJed (both in title and in search title) and in PCH:

in NMJed (both in title and in search title): in PCH:
Fast & Furious 1 Fast & Furious 1
Fast & Furious 2 Fast & Furious 4
Fast & Furious 3 Fast & Furious 2
Fast & Furious 4 Fast & Furious 3
Fast & Furious 5 Fast & Furious 5

in NMJed (both in title and in search title): in PCH:
Die Hard 1 completely random sort out of these movies
Die Hard 2
Die Hard 3
Die Hard 4

3/ LIST MODE: same as in WALL MODE

I repeat: everything looks fine in NMJed. No error occurs when I validate the db either.

Thank you very much for your valuable help!

Hi jCris,

Thanks for the report. This type of issues has been reported before and, unfortunately, I'm still not sure why its happening. Have you tried re-booting your device? Any possibility of sending me a copy of you database and giving me an idea of entries that were added with NMJED and are not displaying correctly and those they were added via NMJ and are displaying correctly?

I'm still awaiting the long anticipated upgrade of the C200 to this version of the database so I can test some of these type of issues for my self Smile

RE: NMJED3 Windows editor for NMJv2 Databases (A300/C300) (3.0.0.8 - 21th July 2012)
Thanks Ufitzit!

After careful review, I finally fixed theses problems by way of thoroughly following the steps indicated on the forum, which are:

1/ Ensure that each movie is associated with a group
2/ Fill-up properly the "search" box

However, new issues have arisen

3/ It seems NMJed is not able to fetch some pieces of information from a .mkv file, such as:
- the runtime
- the FPS
- the resolution

4/ I now get an error message on the PCH when I try to download fanarts or cover directly from the device.
The PCH finds the right piece of information, but once downloaded I get an error message and the info is not applied. Even worse, it temporarily deletes the original information.

5/ NMJed regularly crashes without reason
It happens either after a certain time using the editor OR after a certain number of fanart previews. I suppose the editor bugs when the cache overloads, but maybe I'm wrong.

6/ I get multiple error messages when using another editor such as NMJ Toolbox

If one has a clue, thanks for sharing!!!

BTW, the editor helps a lot anyway. It's good work. Thanks to the developper.

RE: NMJED3 Windows editor for NMJv2 Databases (A300/C300) (3.0.0.8 - 21th July 2012)
I love NMJED3 for managing my C300.. I was wondering if you could add an option, or maybe I'm just doing it wrong.. I have a bunch of concert videos, ie Bon Jovi: Lost Highway The Concert (tmdb49413). When I add this to my database, it shows up in the "movies" section. I know that "Concert" is a genre, but was wondering if you could add it as a Show "Type", to separate them from the actual movies. currently the only options are Movie, movie multipart, and Home Video. Thanks, and keep up the great work. Wink

Hi Sniper,

Thanks for the feedback. The "types" are defined by the NMJ so I have to work within what's supplied there. Filtering by Genre is probably the best option for what your doing, what I can look into is adding "favorites" to shortcut selecting the filter, for example Favorite: Genre - Concert

Thanks ufitzit.. I know that when I sort by genre "Concert", it only shows them, but if I sort by ALL, then the concerts show up there because the show Type is "Movie".. and can't really be changed as it is.. if it's limited by NMJ, then I'm not sure what you can do... but thanks again for the great program.. Maybe I'll throw the NMJ people a text.. Wink

RE: NMJED3 Windows editor for NMJv2 Databases (A300/C300) (3.0.0.8 - 21th July 2012)
Hi ufitzit,

here is a suggestion for a small enhancement or bug fix:

In the Tools / Validate Database function the progress bar stays at 0% all the time until the processing is completed. While validating the 'songs' section of the database which took several minutes I wasn't sure if NMJED is still processing.

Thanks for considering to implement a feature that displays the pogress during the database validation.

Regards,
runningman
