That's what happens when I reply to post first thing in the morning before the coffee kicks in . The A400 will create a database for you tho unless your move files are named very carefully it will often pick up the wrong movie information. I'm not really sure on how it handles multiple drives, I have seen a number of threads on that may be of more help.

I've been unsuccessful in trying to get a definitive word one way or another regarding NMJ and USB connected drives but I did download instructions in a thread that supposedly works. So maybe I'll give it a shot and hopefully not get frustrated. Thanks!

Using the A400, I created a media.db file.
When I open this file and choose a movie (double click), only "show", "video", "subtitles" and "bookmarks" tabs are displayed. Please adsvice, Udi |

Hi ufitzit,
first of all, thanks for your great tool, it works flawlessly on my A400 nmj! I have one suggestion/wish though. Is it possible to add a film/music/photo counter to the overview to get the actual amount of e.g. films per genre ? And second, is it possible to add a genre filter <none> for films without genre? I add genres manually to all my films though it would be of great help to see were the genre is missing and were it was set. Thanks in advance. Br, ro_n P.S. where to donate? |

On the Show tab add a new show The layout of Movies and TV Series is: Show |-->Video (media file) |-->Video (media file) etc TV Series |-->TV Season | |-->TV Episode | | |--> Video (media file) | |-->TV Episode | | |--> Video (media file) |--> TV Season etc |

RE: NMJED3 Windows editor for NMJv2 (A300/C300/A400) (v3.0.0.9 - 1st December 2012)
Wow, thanks a lot.
Another suggestion for quicker editing the genres would be checkbox editing instead of menu/list. The Add/Add Multiple.../Update/Delete buttons would be obsolete then. Could also work for the Groups/Keywords/Persons tabs. Plus, for further speed editing reasons, opening the "Edit" Window with the Return key (not only by double-klicking), switch between Show/Videos/Groups/Genres/Keywords/... with Alt-s/Alt-v/Alt-g/Alt-e/Alt-k/... etc. "OK" could be like Alt-Return The changes would not harm the click folks but would come very handy for keyboard guys like myself. :-) Br, ro_n P.S. again: where to donate? (I mean it!) |

RE: NMJED3 Windows editor for NMJv2 (A300/C300/A400) (v3.0.0.9 - 1st December 2012)
Hi ufitzit,
here are a few suggestions to make your great NMJED tool even better for updating the 'Group' settings for movies or albums: In the Video or Music tab I selected Filter Type as Group and the respective filter letter. After updating the 'Group' section of a movie or album I suggest to refresh the overview for the filter letter to reflect the recent update. Currently after an update the item is still listed under the old group filter letter which gives the impression that the update was not executed. I select an album or movie and select the Group tab and double click on the current group setting to open the Group edit dialog. When I select a different Group and click on the 'Update' button I expected that the group for that album would be updated but still the old group setting appears when the dialog box is closed. Is this a bug is this dialog box intended for a different purpose? When I select the new group directly in the drop down list box in the Group tab and click on Update everything works fine. If a Group filter letter or range is selected that has no entries it seems that all content is listed which is a bit irritating. I suggest to show an empty list in such cases or some form of 'Empty' messages. On the other hand a view with all content and the respective groups would be very handy as well. It would be very handy to have an option to select multiple items to update the group for those in one step. (I understand that this might not be easy to implement). Thanks for considering to implement my suggestions. Again, great tool. Cheers, runningman |

For now you can use the F5 key (Edit -> Refresh) to refresh the list. Is this a bug is this dialog box intended for a different purpose? This is buy design, the popup Group list (and others like it) is for editing the list of available groups. The assigning of a group to a movie etc is performed directly on the Group tab. The popup window can be confusing and I will look at making this also update the groups etc on the group tab. (I understand that this might not be easy to implement). You can do this now but isn't not strait forward. From the main listing window select Video then Groups, when you select a group the Shows tab will contain a list of all shows linked to that group. You can link a single or multiple shows and/or delete shows from the selected group. Unfortunately if the shows are spread across several different groups there is no simple way to update all the shows in a single step. Thanks for the feedback |

RE: NMJED3 Windows editor for NMJv2 (A300/C300/A400) (v3.0.0.9 - 1st December 2012)
Hey guys, would love some help!
I currently step by step building up my nmj. But I have a problem with the tvshow Anger Management. Folder=> Media<Tvshows<Anger Management<Season 1>Anger Management S01E01.Pilot.mp4 Same for season 2, now for some reason when I scan my library with nmj it makes 2 different posters for Anger Management. When I open my database in NMJED3 it looks like this: ![]() How do I put them together in one folder? If I drag them, the database won't save

RE: NMJED3 Windows editor for NMJv2 Error
Hello,
I have one question and one issue that I hope you can help with. I have an A300 and have downloaded the current NMED3. 1. Can I create a playlist from NMJED3 and save it to the A300? 2. When I make changes to an existing playlist (one created with the A300), I get a "Error when saving" message from NMJED3. Any thoughts as to why? thanks, |

On the main screen with the Music tab selected goto the Music menu and select Play lists, enter the name of the play list and click add. Fill in the various option and add the songs you want. I'm not sure if the A300 requires there to be a playlist file or not, if so then enter a file name, select a format and Save As... to create it. I noted doing this NMJED complained several times about the 'NMJ Path', ignore these errors they will go away once the file is saved. I will look at better ways of doing this for the next release. I'm not sure what's causing the error when modifying an existing playlist. Could you turn on Tracing from the options menu, set it to debug, give it a file name then reproduce the error and send me the trace? Alternatively if you can send me a copy of your database I may be able to find the problem. |

RE: NMJED3 Windows editor for NMJv2 Error
Hi,
I just received this. Thanks for the information. It seems to be working now, not sure why. I was/still am having difficulty with the replay on the 300, I cannot get 'repeat none' to work so maybe it is all interconnected. At least this part seems to be fixed. Great product (A300) but they seem to launch firmware too early without adequate testing or company support. They leave it all to the subscribers in this wiki.
