Managed to talk the wife into a new TV/AMP
Went for a Samsung PS51D8000 and an Onkyo 509 Still needs a proper session of setup (harmony is working but not perfect for example). Yeah, we did it all ourselves. It's actually just wood that's painted. Looks more professional than it sounds.
The light is dimmable and colour changing via remote (5050 LED Tape). The unit is fantastic, smoked glass doors allow the remote to work without opening them, you can just see the blue LCD of the C200.
