connection to pc via usb

i have recently purchased a kaiober k100 from dino direct - they probably got it cheap in a bulk purchase of outdated stock - i am thinking of returning it for a number of reasons, however that aside i wish to know how i can transfer files from my pc to the nmt using USB - i have downloaded and installed the Ex2 volume manager but it does not recognise it - am i missing a step?

Do you think that i would be better off returning it and updating to a later model - this one i presume has original firmware and has never been updated.

My other reasons for returning it are that the controller is all chines characters and the instructions as well - i have obtained english instructions online and got by with a univesal controller for the time being

if i can get it running without too much hassal i will probably keep it.
