A300 - multiple databases on same share?
Hi,
I am new to the PCH en NMJ, and am experiencing some trouble. This my setup: PCH-A300 NAS with 1 share (\\NAS\public) and one account (administrator) Multiple subdirectories: ..\_audio\music\clean ..\_homevideo ..\backups ..\video ..\2delete ... This is what I successfully did: Add networkshare \\NAS\public as "ROOT", so I can access everything through this. As a test, I added a music database including only ..\audio\music\clean, and this worked fine. However, I dont want to browse the ROOT through the NMJ GUI, but just as a fileshare. So I want to use NMJ only for certain selected directories, so if I open "ROOT" the filebrowser opens, and if I open "MUSIC CLEAN" or "HOMEVIDEO", then the NMJ opens. Because the music collection took a very long time to index, I am now testing with the homevideo directory: And this is what does not work: Add networkshare \\NAS\public\homevideo as "Homevideo" (=OK) + Add a separate database for this directory, but his always fails. If I check on the NAS, I see a new directory "_Homevideonmj_database", but is has only the empty directories and the database itself is 68kb. I always get an error asking if I want to retry, but this also fails every time. REMARK: if I add the directory \_homevideo to the original NMJ I created (in the ROOT share, this works. But adding a 2nd DB doesn't... is this normal? thanks foor any comments on this, best regards, Bart |

RE: A300 - multiple databases on same share?
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem but no solution yet. Who can help us? Another problem, how to use the NMJ database to see also the covers in the Filebrowser? If I download the covers of each movie in the Filebrowser, I see it, no problems, but if I create a share to this subdirectory and I go through this network share I don't see the pockets...why? |

RE: A300 - multiple databases on same share?
I've struggled quite long on this issue, made a lot of tests and i finally came to the conclusion that you can't have a DB/share if your shares are physically on the same disk (HDD or NAS).
made different scenarios adressing 3 different NAS over my home network and it confirmed my above conclusion. 1 physical disk (or network ip address) = 1 jukebox anyway i would be happy to see from someone here that such a conclusion is wrong
