Look promising but given the issues I am still having with BD playpack off a retail disc I wouldn't bother upgrading from a C-200. Until they play retail BD discs like a retail BD disc player this additional functionality is pointless because you really still need a BD disc player as well.

I downloaded some ISO's of BD and the menu is working flawless..
I don't know what BD live does, but the rest works fine here on the C-300

Thanks, this helps in choosing a surround receiver; I won't wait for spotify support on c300, but select the Onkyo TX-NR 609, which has built in spotify support in the receiver.

As far as 'still waiting' for, the ones you list have time and time again been told that they will NEVER come to the NMT. Spotify have refused Syabas's approaches and Netflix would mean that in effect the player would become tied down and be like AppleTv etc.

This thread is not for the personal wants of C200 woners, it is for discussion on the C300. Keep it on topic or post it elsewhere.

Ok, I'm relatively new to the networked media environment, network terminology I am not familiar with too much yet (Samba, SMB, etc), and I had one question.

I have a Drobo connected to the network, and would like to stream full Blu Ray ISOs (with menus), DVD Iso's, and AVCHD via MPEG-2 TS files from the drobo NAS. I currently have a PS3 and thought I would be able to do so without setting up a program on my computer to stream it, as my computer isn't on usually when I am watching something on TV.

I would like to have a set top box that will access network shares, without a computer streaming it. I have the Seagate Freeagent Theater + that will do that no problem, I'm trying to upgrade from that to one that will support Blu Ray ISO's.

Is the A-300 or C-300 right for my uses? If so, would I need to get the C-300? I do not plan on playing any physical discs in this unit, from what I have learned from the 16 pages in this forum, that and the display are the only real differences in the two devices.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't know about the A-300, but the C-300 does all that.
I haven't had any problems yet, playing a BR with menu....

The C200 or C300 would both work for you. The A210 and A300 both support full BD menu's, but not so officially it seems.

The C series would give your room for 2 hard drives though, and as long as the unit is turned on, would let you stream throughout the house without the need for a computer

I bought a Popcorn C-300 last week and I sold my C-200 (bought on September 2009 !)
So, I can really compare the two products and after one week of use, I have some questions:

1) I have a big problem with the remote control, it's works very bad (no problem with C-200).
- Is it possible to desactivate the IR control and keep only RF control ? (I think the problem is here)
2) Files .TXT are not read, is it a bug ? (read fine on C-200)
3) Ethernet transfert (PC to C-300) are always at 10 Mb/s (like C-200, I bought C-300 to have nearly 20 Mb/s )
- Do I have to modify the "TCP Windows Size" with "17,520" value to have best performance ? (like C-200 too)
4) TFT display is attractive... but TFT display is OFF during movie playing
- Is it possible to switch on it? (like C-200 too)

Don't know about the other 3 point, but point 4 : Push the BT button on the remote to switch on/off the LCD....Works like a charm.
No complaints here with the RC btw
