HI.

I have major problems with many dvd-iso files on my A-300. They start-up with fastplaying over the menues, and straight into the movie. Giving me no chance to start the movies.

THEY ALL WORK ON MY A-200, SO it is not a question off bad iso-rips. There is just something wrong with the A-300, which FixVTS and CloneDVD could not fix.

Most of my ISO´s are cartoons, so my 4 year old is not very happy with dads new toy.

HELP ME SYABAS.....FIX IT PLEASE!!!!

I heard sometime this week.. but that time window is quickly disappearing. I'm tired of syabas focusing on their most expensive device way more than the others. The C300 keeps getting updates.. The A300, which is still really new, hasn't been getting any. I'm not sure how stable the C300 is but the A300 has been very unstable since the latest firmware update (it was very stable for me before the latest firmware update). You'd think they'd rush to fix these major issues that the last firmware caused, but nope... Here we are.. 3 months later and counting.. I still haven't rolled back because I keep telling myself the next firmware is close.

tyrindor: whether that's true or not, who says everyone's using a 'modern' LCD? Mine's from 2004, it's a 42" 1080p and it works fine. I'm not buying a new one just so I can disable a buggy screensaver. =)

Are there any power saving features in you LCD you could enable? my older ones have options to turn off the screen after a few hours and other options.

Hopefully we got this one fixed.

Unpacking the ISO files and then repacking using IMGBurn was the solution to the ones claxter tested.

lad's i bought a device of 235 euro and it cant even run stable. wat a bunch of crap. several months later and still no proper firmware.

Now i have a device worth of so much money put in a corner doing nothing while i have to play movies trough my macbook. kinda said aint it?

scruby: you said it. I'm planning to buy a cheaper competing device soon, try it out, and if it works better than the PCH, I will be demanding syabas accept a return of my A-300 with no restocking fee. this level of functionality and customer service is unacceptable.

I Am a Lifetime PCH owner and Beta tester, A-100 , C-200 , A-300 .. all Launch and this is the worst Turn around i have ever experienced ... its pretty sad actually ... Can we please stop making new Apps for it (apps are so 2010) and just make the A-300 Semi Stable ?? I am Sick of watching a Blu Ray Backup and for no reason at all my speakers blaring with screeching and garble so i have to frantically pause it and skip ahead or back to cont. watching it without going deaf.. and the last update was over 2 months ago

I have preached how great PCH is and how they are a tad buggy but its ok because they are quick to come out with beta or Wide released updates .. WTF happened ?

i'm still waiting for a PROPER firmware release, i don't watch any movie since the last (bad) firmware was released....

how can you all not watch any movies. I use my A300 100% of the time now without a problem. I watch mkv/avi set to passthrough sending stereo,dts-hd,dts most of the time.

Same here just had an enjoyable movie night.

Only problem I get is sometimes at the end of a film it does not go back to the UI. I can live with it as its reported and its not worth crying about.

Put some effort into finding out why you are having problems. Also read about the product and how to use it as I see that you RMA'd just for a firmware recovery.

ALL Media Players have to develop. Hopping around from one to another will get you no where unless you pick an old media player that has had time to develop.

It has been TWO months during which time there has been xmas and the chinese new year! Dont be so easily led.

There is supposed to be a C200 firmware and then a A300.

Very disappointing to see this posted by a beta tester.

See above its been two months and within that xmas and chinese new year. You also know that there will be a c200 beta first and then a a300 firmware.

Syabas have their own engineers at Sigma trying to fix issues that Sigma introduced with a new kernel at the last minute breaking audio in BDMV etc.

To all of you if you have a problem then please post about it in a thread. Some of you have never even posted a thread asking for help.
If others then confirm then it may be a bug. Then check the Bug forum to see if it has already been reported. If not ask for your thread to be moved into that section or start one in there. that is where Syabas/PCH may look first for problems to fix in a firmware.

Unfortunately I don't think a new firmware will not be available soon for the A300.

Since there's now a C300, first a firmware will be available for the C300. Once that firmware goes through beta, a release candidate, and finally public, it will be ported over the the A300.

This is the way it was at least with the 200's. The A200/A210 firmware was released around 3 weeks after the C200 firmware was released always.
