Q: Transferring files to a A-300 via USB3.0

Hi,

Ive just recently purchased a A-300 and installed a 2TB Samsung HDD (non AFT) and formatted it and installed NMT apps.

I havent plugged it into my PC running Windows 7 to transfer my files over the USB3.0 connection yet.

My question is, do I have to go through the same process of my old HDX1000 and get a Windows ET2/EXT3 reader to transfer my files over to the A-300 in Windows, or does the HDD have a NTFS partition ?

The HDD does not create a Windows partition as it uses Linux. I suppose Mac and Windows users would obviously prefer their own file systems.
You can yourself repartition the large Ext partition to NTFS using the likes of the WIKI Guuide.

The best option IMO is to install the NMT Apps onto a small micro USB stick and then use your internal HDD as NTFS. With speeds of over 20MB/s via FTP it is time to start thinking about dropping USB and using a network nowadays.
