According to the instructions here, you can start it from the browser as well. This is what I was trying to achieve.

Not on 300-series. They do not have Gaya. Flash only.

yes i did, several times and it still shows the annoying, all, new, top 250 etc etc and at the end my own catagories (defined in the set you set in my_libraries). even renaming all to one of my categories does not work

You're welcome, accident. Obviously this has to do with the A300 dev team rather than you, but do you think it's theoratically possible for the A300 with a future FW release, to reintroduce a similar functionality in order to start eversion automatically? Is there any point of asking Syabas through a relevant thread to consider this option?

It as been hinted by werner they will try to bring some customization to the unit but who knows if and when that will happen. and There is a way to technically start it now if you want it on boot. if you have an internal drive do the ftpserver.sh trick and add a wget line to load the phf file.

The next evolution of the project could use some help.

I immediately need someone(s) who have any knowledge of web technologies released after html 1.0 (the last time I learned it). It's for a web based settings/control style interface. If you have time and know any html, css, javascript, jquery, ajax, etc and want to get in early on the next big thing please let me know.

Two quick questions for you

1. Where is the score setting now? I can't seem to find the right settings file. Can this be added to settings.xml so it's not overwritten?

2. On my Home screen I've got the Kids genre and in 2.7 I simply had a jpg in the home folder called Kids.jpg and it was picked up, but it's not picked up now (same for the custom images I did for some of the categories). What do I need to do in 2.8?

No, but rename evstreamed to anything you want and it will be upgrade safe. Dont' forget to change your eskin setting to match the new name. I don't really forsee any evstreamed changes for a long time and your couple tweaks are easy to move when your ready.

Hmm, I would have expected that to be ok. it's 1 of 2 things to fix. 1: add in a kids translation to en.xml for Kids or 2: add in an originaltitle for kids to home.control (you'll see an example with trailer). the artwork is now non-english translated prompt friendly.

fyi; en.xml can be called. anything treat it like settings and do a baz.xml or similar and change your language option to baz.xml. It'll fill in en.xml prompts so your all upgrade friendly.

This sounds interesting, thanks. I have a USB flash drive so will try this out. Can you load the YAMJ app using this method? If so, do you know the exact command or a link to a relevant thread? Thanks.
