YouTube Videos App v2.0.6 on A-300 - Severe audio output issues continue
Greetings,

Using YouTube Video App version: 2.0.6

Videos streaming seems to work very well.

It's the audio portion that's not working properly.

Please see this thread which I've opened for v2.0.5 audio problems.

Everything described there still applies:

@werner,
Any word from the Devs as to what's going on?
Have you/the Devs been able to reproduce what's described here?

The audio issues render this great app completely useless.

Done.

With YouTube Leanback v1.0.0 the results are exactly the same as with YouTube Videos v2.0.5/6.

hy,
i can´t confirm the last post, on my a300 both youtube apps have sound via optical out, but i had also one time by the 2.0.5/6 no tone on optical but after switch to hdmi on in audio settings, i got sound.
but today i installed the new youtube leanback and now i turn off the hdmi in audio and sound at all.

it means i have audiosignals on optical out, in both youtube-apps.
it was very strange, i had also no sound via optical, but with hdmi.
after install the new app YouTube Leanback i was testing with hdmi audio off,
and also no sound. after dis-and reconnect the powersupply (reboot) i got sound from optical. i can see it on my onkyo receiver what audio in is in use (hdmi or optical)

So basically Gerald,

Right now, using YouTube Videos v2.0.6, you are able to hear sound just fine using the digital optical / HDMI outputs.
I haven't tested those.

What about the analog stereo RCA or the digital coaxial outputs?

Those two give me unacceptable results and except for digital optical inputs (which I currently don't have the right cable) - my setup doesn't include HDMI.
