PCH A-110 Internal Hard Drive?
Hi, quick question regarding the internal HD in the PCH A-110
I currently have a 1TB HD installed and want to format it so my MacBook Pro (2010, Lion OS) can see it and be able to transfer files to and from each other Any recommendations?

If you connected it to your network does not matter what filesystem it uses, so no need to format anything.
But I am like 99% sure Lion is more than capable of using http://osxfuse.github.com/ to read/write ext3 |

I could connect my popcorn a110 to my OSX Lion by:
1: shutdown all network apps on your popcorn. FTP, NFS, etc etc. 2: Install the software OSXFUSE and FUSE-EXT2 as explained on this website: google "How to manage Ext2/Ext3 disks in OS X by Topher Kessler" -> OSXFuse includes “MacFUSE Compatibility Layer”. Just make sure to select this option when installing OSXFuse and you are good to go. 3 shutdown popcorn, disconnect all cables except power supply and restart and mount to Apple machine as USB_slave 4: be patient!!! may take a minute! 5: follow other steps on google "How to manage Ext2/Ext3 disks in OS X by Topher Kessler" It is extremely slow though, 10 MB / minute. Tried to mount it via VMware on ubuntu, not very faster. Succes! Ad |
