This is the Windows media sharing icon - and it means that your PC running windows have media sharing turned on - you can turn it on/off through windows mediaplayer 11.

All the PCH access to your WMP library will make the word unauthorized disappear.
Open WMP and goto library sharing and allow access. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

You need to "Authorize" the PCH as a device in WMP11. Open WMP11 and click on Tools/Options menu. Choose Library tab, then configure sharing button and then highlight the PCH and click "Allow". This will change it to "Authorized" on the PCH.....
"everything will be ok in the end. if it's not ok, it's not the end" - unknown |

Try it then ive also had it show unauthorized and allow me access. Whether that is related to some genrall network setting in Vista such as media sharing I wouldnt like to say. In fact it may be that as ong as you allow the connection in WMP11 that the unauthorised comes from Vista network settngs.
Anyway if it plays and it should do if youve allowed it access in WMP11 library your away. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

Must be a WMP11 issue I think... |

RE: What is that strange media source?
I found this extremely annoying so i just disabled the service entirely on my os.
goto start > run type services.msc Look for Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. Stop service and set to disabled. |
