Thanks for this firmware update. At first I had some problems installing the firmware when I let the C-300 search for updates. As soon as it showed there was an update the device locked up and pushing the green button on the remote to "install" had no effect at all. Couldn't power off the device in a normal way so had to use the switch on the back to turn it off. After that I downloaded the firmware onto a usb stick and this worked without a problem.

So far it seems that the firmware is working ok and it has fixed quite a number of "bugs" that I had. Obviously the tft display is working now as well which is a really good feature. The only problem that I seem to be having is that I sometimes get strange lines in my tft display. Could this be a small "error" or might it be that the display in my C-300 isn't 100 % ?

Also, is it normal that the tft goes black when you play a video file ?

i will ask them to check online update again but normally it should work.

the strange lines could be yes, it seems that our driver we use has some timing issues from time to time, we will try to improve it.

Yes it is normal that TFT gets black when starting a Video, because the display doesn't show anything on video playback, it will only show the last view you had,
this feature was also a request, many users don't like it to see a very bright TFT when they wanna watch a movie
anyway you can turn it on if you want with the BT Button.

That depends on what subtitles you are refering to. The embeded subs

in Dvd isos, Bd isos and original discs ( wich is not playable yet ) you cant

do it. But if the text is "on the side" like .srt .sub then you have the possibility

to change it. Just press the subtitle button and go 3 or 4 click down

to the opption auto color, there you can make some selections.

There you can chose the size of the subs and the position of the sub aswell.

Please tell me that the TFT screen works well and that a Bluray disc can be played. Seems many could not get a disc playing on the pre-release firmware.

Come on Werner tell us the story and settle the arguement, why have Dutch resellers started selling before official launch date? Everyone else has had to follow suit or lose all their opening sales to the Dutch resellers.

anyway we are expecting the fix this week from Sigma, i hope tomorrow then we would be able to bring another firmware update by end of the week.

Currently, you cannot do that.

I'm also Dutch and feel very happy I can watch BBC recorded TS files (Dreambox recordings) with english subtitles. (It was already in the "beta")
